Hi,
every year when me and my wife are going on holiday I have problem with choosing right gear.
If you have:
canon fisheye
canon 35mm 1.4
canon 50mm 1.4
canon 135mm 2.0
Which one would you take with you?
I think taking them all is too heavy, maybe we will shoot few stock portraits that's all.

Depends where you are going, how you are traveling, what you'll be shooting, what camera you have, and how serious you are about getting the shots you want. You own this gear so you know what type of things these lenses are used for right? A fisheye is not normally the lens people pick for portraits but maybe that's your style? Walking around Tokyo I doubt a 135mm lens on a crop camera would be too useful either. So the answer is, it depends.

Do you want holiday snaps or sellable images?
"Everybody" lugs around a 35 or 50, so I would choose tie fisheye and 135mm to get some images that stand out from the crowd. In real life, I don't have the courage to do so, I just snap with my 35mm and 100mm and my images look just like someone else's... :(
I have sometimes thought that combination 28mm and (about) 100mm would be a perfect allround combination.

I would take fisheye and 50mm (or 135mm). You can get nice wide angle landscape from fisheye, and portraits of your wife and general shots from 50mm or 135mm.

Going on vacation isn't about choosing lenses.
Take with what you are comfortable with, learn your lens of choice.
Make the most of your lens of choice.
And most, make it your vacation, not a stock photography trip if you are ever plan to have a life and time off.

ps : i've made some stunning images with a Samsung nx 100 on my road trip in Normandy, Brittany and Picardy this year with the standard kit lens (France Europe by scooter)..... with only one lens.

Its not on your list but zoom lens are made for travelling. 3 lens in one.
24-105mm + fish eye and you'd have 95% of the shots I'd want to take while travelling.

bring them all and throw out some of your wifes shooes and unnecessary garmets.

I take a 17-40 for landscapes and architecture, 24-105mm for general and a 70-200 f4 IS for lots of stuff .. because I like it.

Why the 24-105? It only covers 40-70....

zooms are my only choices - i have a 18 - 200 on my dslr, and my sony HX200v with a 30x optical zoom; i carry the latter for skiing, hiking, etc. also handy if i'm doing video with 1 camera to have stills with the other
instead of a wider angle lense, i make panoramas of 2 or 3 portrait aspect images
