Here's one for all you guys state-side.
I'm after your best recipe for Sloppy Joes. I've never had them, but I have a burning desire to eat them. Can someone send me a recipe for them? You Mums best home made type...
While we're at it, I love trashy food. Any other favourites? Tex Mex stylie is good, I'm about to tuck into a whole Tex Mex platter for dinner...

Not my mum's homemade recipe but I think its the best. 1 lb. ground beef, 1 can Manwich sloppy joe mix, heap onto a bun or kaiser roll, add a slice of cheese. MMmmmm!
(if you are outside the US, Manwich may not be available :( )

Yup, no packet mixes or cans of stuff allowed...

Don't remember where, but I remember many years back, finding a site with recipes for every kind of junk food imaginable. google it

Oh I've found plenty of recipes online, but how do I know if they're good ones? Most of them involve a packet mix anyway. I want to taste them like they're meant to taste, but can't afford an airfare just for one meal!
I'm an absolute food fanatic, and for some reason I have a burning ambition to eat really good sloppy joes!
I get the impression they're a bit like a burger, but I've also heard of tins of tomato soup being used in them - distinctly non burger like. So how do I know what recipe to follow?

You basically fry up ground beef (drain fat) then add a can of crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and spices. Then serve on a bun. (Its like an ultra thick spaghetti sauce on a bun).
How about Poutine? French fries topped with cheese curds and smothered in hot gravy. (Also referred to as a "heart attack on a plate")
Currently my favorite junk (pub) food would be sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo. YUM!

Sounds like my friday night (drunk) special - cheesy chips with gravy from the kebab shop!
