Rather, it is the protection of US national interests. Tariffs are also the protection of US national interests.

Democrats are hindering the work of the Republicans.

Republicans have majorities in both houses - how can D's hinder them?
There are still many democratic judges left in the courts.

Who actually apply the Law.
To be fair, a few Republican judges also apply the Law.

IMO, it's a HUGE weakness in the USian system that judges are politically appointed.
The Law should be free from bias: Blind Justice.

Society is divided between Democrats and Republicans. If Republicans appoint a judge who is for Democrats, it will not lead to anything good. I will be very surprised if there is a judge who does not support any of the parties and does not go to elections.

But it is possible to give judicial positions to artificial intelligence.  ;D ;D ;D

I like Trump. I like him because he says what he will do. He is better than Biden, who constantly deceived Ukraine and all US allies.

I like Trump. I like him because he says what he will do.
"From our tally, at the time of publication, it appears that Trump kept approximately 23 of these Day 1 promises, did not keep 21 of them, and 8 exist in a nuanced or limbo zone "
https://couriernewsroom.com/news/a-comprehensive-list-of-trumps-broken-and-kept-day-1-promises
And these were just the things he said he'd do on the first day, so that date has passed, with over 50% reneged on.

So you believed Trump when he said that Zelensky is a dictator and the war is Ukraine's fault?

Yes, I wrote all this correctly. But perhaps his words will not differ much from his actions.

He has already fulfilled many promises. It means he is a man of his word!  ;D
I wrote not about his opinion about Ukraine, but about his possible actions. Of course, his words should not always be taken literally, since there is a geopolitical battle going on.

1. Trump extended sanctions against Russians.
https://public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2025-03462.pdf

2. The media writes that Trump apologized for calling Zelensky a dictator.
In Ukraine, no one was offended by this, it sounded very funny. Perhaps he wants to compete with Zelensky for the best comedian.

I haven't seen that.

"No-one" is rather a sweeping generalisation.

Trump would never make a comedian, that takes intelligence.
He'd better not take Zelensky on at dancing either. I understand Zelensky won the Ukranian Dancing with the Stars om 2006. This is all Trump has:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rxs7RojLeLA
Not that dancing has any relevance to being a president, so Trump should just stop it already. It's not a good look.

BTW, he recently wondered aloud "who would ever sign a treaty" like the USMCA 2019 deal? when it was he himself who signed it. That's worrying.

FWIW, I'm sure Trump is going to do his best to sell Ukraine down the river.

1. Zelensky is more of a comedian than a dancer. But he can also play the piano.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFF9ALX-RrM
 ;D ;D ;D

2. Zelensky is in Ireland now, landed on his way to Trump. What is he doing in Ireland? Maybe the IRA?  :)

3. Yes, Trump wants to help Israel, and there is a war planned with Iran in the Middle East. The Russians are in the way, so Trump tried to exchange Ukraine for the Middle East. But there are other players in geopolitics. So Trump's actions will depend on the actions of Ukraine and the EU.

That's right.

It's not because Trump has a problem with Ukraine in general. He simply doesn't care about Ukraine's fate because the USA is far enough away from Ukraine.

What he does care about is what you can make money from. Zelenskyy knows that. He also knows that Trump will not keep his word, even if Zelenskyy makes promises for raw materials and rare earths. But Zelenskyy has no choice but to go along with it and that is exactly what Trump is counting on: Punishing Zelenskyy for talking back, showing him who is the stronger one. And make a deal with Putin that links the fate of Ukraine with the annexation of Greenland. And at the same time impose all future costs on the EU, which in Trump's view has also hurt his ego.

do you also like trump's friendship w russia? - talking with them & leaving out ukraine from 'peace' talks that would leave putin to occupy most of the territory they've  assaulted  (altho he said he'd bring peace to ukraine on day one!)

from  the BBC
First, the US opposed a European-drafted resolution condemning Moscow's actions and supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity - voting the same way as Russia and countries including North Korea and Belarus at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Then the US drafted and voted for a resolution at the UN Security Council which called for an end to the conflict, but contained no criticism of Russia

Seems it was 2020.
E.g.
https://www.timesnownews.com/world/us/us-news/trump-accidentally-insults-himself-who-would-sign-a-thinglikethis-article-118566172

I mean, who can blame them if they made these great deals with the United States, took advantage of the United States on manufacturing? On just about anything, every aspect you can imagine, they took advantage. I look at some of these agreements, Id read them at night, and Id say, Who would ever sign a thing like this? So the tariffs will go forward, yes, and were gonna make up a lot of territory. All we want is reciprocal. We want reciprocity, Trump said on Monday."

So, Stoker, not only has Trump broken over half of his Day One promises, he goes back on legal agreements he himself has signed.
He's no more reliable than a 'loose cannon' (sidenote: strange saying, shouldn't it be 'loose cannonball'?)

what media?  all i could find was
When asked by a reporter whether he still believed Zelensky was a dictator, Trump responded: Did I say that? I cant believe I said that. Next question.

this is trump's usual response - to deny something that's easily verified

I think it is "loose cannon" - from old sailing ships - imagine the havoc a 1000 + lb (or kg, they could be huge) wheeled cannon would cause below decks as the ship moved from waves.

I know that we should never judge an entire country on one person, but I do sometimes wonder if all Ukranians are the same as you.

Never having been to Ukraine, I have to rely on the overall media portrayal, which is usually of a wonderful people, beautiful country, our European cousins, toast basket of the world, valiantly fighting oppression in some kind of David vs Goliath war. Fighting the good fight.

That's what I bought into and it's still kind of what I like to beleive, but I do sometimes wonder if all Ukranians are massive Trump supporters, blinded by extreme biases, and divorced from reality.

I can imagine some big world leader meeting ending with... so we're all agreed on delivering the full funding package to Ukraine? We must support our Ukrainian brothers and sisters in their fight against tyranny! Everyone cheers in thunderous applause, but a hand can be seen sheepishly being raised at the back of the room. You there... you have something to add? Yes sir. I mean... well... yeah the Ukranians are pretty great, yeah... but, well... have you heard of a site called microstock group? Well there's this stoker guy and he's making me question everything we think we know about Ukraine.

Either way... I choose to believe that Ukranians are pretty cool. Rather than you being an accurate representation of your average Ukranian, I would much rather choose to beleive that you are actually Russian. A Putin plant meant to sew division and distrust. To plant the seeds of doubt and to erode the world's perception of the Ukranian people... one online microtock forum at a time. Better than a whole department of Kremlin propagandists coupd ever do.

Either way, Russian or not, you'll be getting a medal from Putin when all this is done, comrade.

I didn't write that I like everything Trump says or does. I only like what he says, thinks, and is going to do. This is very good for the whole world.
And why is it always about Trump? For example, read everything Secretary of State Marco Rubio said. Nothing terrible is happening.
