There is a very high risk that US support for Ukraine and NATO could fall dramatically if the Republicans come to power.

A weak Ukraine and a weak NATO would be a gift for Putin. And that seems to be exactly what you want.

If you had power comparable to Putin's, you would ban the democrat party and thus silence the political representatives of 60% of the US population who are in favor of aid to Ukraine.
