This post has been deleted by the moderator because it looks like spam
Why was it spam? Because the exact same message was posted to many message boards, right after the member signed up to the boards, and it was advertising something.

Me too, I used Square Space. A few bucks a month but great support and easy build. I just need to spend more time on it.

I use Turnpiece which is really great value
http://www.turnpiece.com/ (http://www.turnpiece.com/)

I use Hawkhost. No complaints. When setting it up - it was the first time I had my own host, so I was a bit lost - suppot was very fast in replying me.

Like everything else, you pay, but you are well served, at the end nothing else matters...
Is that some kind of affiliate of GoDaddy? If not, they are blatantly ripping off GoDaddy's design and imagery

Bottom - Professional Hostings

If not, they are not really very professional. ;D

Is it only me that's cynical when I see a new user who's only 2 posts are endorsing some product?
How is this thread anything other than spam?
-
Even if the thread is spam, I think that the info from various members will be useful to all.
I've used HostGator (http://www.hostgator.com) for the past 5 years or so and have no plans to switch.

Both my previous ISP's were 'highly recommended' by several people.
The first one stopped being an ISP and would not reply to emails or letters, and whenever I phoned, a woman told me 'he's not in'. They still keep registering my old domain name, but there's nothing there.
The second one (relatively expensive) were fine for five years, then stopped responding to emails and weren't answering the phone, and a registered ketter was returend 'addressee has moved'. They did not renew my domain name, it's still showing as having expired on 4th Oct, but I can't get at it and there's a cybersquatter there. Tucows (where they apparently registered it) won't respond to my emails to change over the nameservers. Internic/ICANN have not replied to several emails either.
So I've got a third domain name, registered and hosted with different people, for all the good that will do if one of them does a runner.
Then my husband's domain (with my second host) expires in Jan and we're trying to think of a suitable, available domain name already. :-(
It's a bagatelle. Five years of good service guarantees nothing.

Maybe their belong to the same company, I have no idea, but they are very likely...

Yes, you are quite right, and the same message was posted to message boards on other sites (thanks to the member who brought this to my attention). The original post has been deleted and we can continue discussing where we host our sites.

I register domain names at a different site (godaddy) so that I never have to worry about that. It happened to me once in the distant past and I swore "Never again!"

I've been using ADDR.com for around six years, and so far, I have had only very minor problems. It's funny because ADDR has such terrible reviews too. Maybe I've just been lucky.

I have used http://www.redfoxhosting.com/ (http://www.redfoxhosting.com/) They are in the UK, the servers are also in the UK, they have shared hosted accounts to managed servers to suit all customers, I have a mid range reseller account with 5 live website all have asp, msSql, php and mySql, email accounts etc:
I have been with them over 3 years and the best points are 'personal quick support responses', 'they delived what they promised'.
I did look at signing up for one of those 'unlimited bandwidth' packages with a large well known ISP, but when I read the forums there were people complaining about service being denied for high use, so a Google search is a good first move before signing up.
If anyone wants really 'cheap or free' it is out there but you will only get what you pay for, good service is something that has to be paid for.
David ;)

I use http://www.powweb.com (http://www.powweb.com) and highly recommend it - I host over 20 sites there with great reliability, ease of use, fantastic features.... and pretty much unlimited space and transfer (as evidenced by 20 sites there!)
If you do sign up with powweb and want to use our "referred by" our account is pictureinfinity and we'd definitely appreciate it. I didn't link to the referral link though because I know some people hate referral links (usually for no good reason lol).
