Title: Zenfolio Coupon or Referral Anyone?
Post by: Pixart on June 22, 2011, 11:15
I'm pretty sure I'm switching from Smugmug to Zenfolio when my time is up at the end of the month.

Anyone have a referral code and/or a discount code they would like to share?

Pixart,

Can you tell me why you are switching from smugmug to zenfolio?  I am considering setting up a smugmug or zenfoilio site to sell actions shots taken at youth sporting events.  If you or anyone else has any experience in this area I would love to hear your opinions.

Thanks!

sure!   I use zenfolio, though not as much as I should.  Presently I use it just to send clients their photos and a way for them to view them in a nice slideshow. You can use my referral code VMR-T9H-6A7 during sign up to save 10% off of a subscription.

oh, this is my zenfolio site if you want to see:

Thanks Jamirae!  Yippee, a coupon!!!

Packerguy - the main reason is that the $100 Zenfolio account will add custom and stock watermarks.  This costs  $150 at Smugmug.  Since I need to fully redesign the thing anyway, I might as well switch now and start fresh at Zenfolio.

BUT I'D PREFER A CANADIAN HOST - ANYONE KNOW OF ONE?

I've been using the $60 Smugmug acct for customer proofing only - they have to purchase from me directly.

I've been doing watermarks manually, I have actions to do this, which don't always work - and basically I'm really lazy and a bit cheap :).  So it will just save me a couple steps.

Another reason.. I convert raw to tiff and Smugmug doesn't take tiff's.  Zen says they take jpeg, tiff, png, giff.
