I liked their ways, so I joined and uploaded a bunch of really top sellers, Im talking pictures with more then 1000, dls, in both Micro and Macro. How do they work the keywording and search, do they do it in German and then translate, etc, or how on earth do they go about it?

Reason for asking is that when I try to search for my images, I cant find any of them, vanished!

I haven't been with them for that long either and I don't know the exact answer to your question.

During uploading/keywording it states on that page that keywords have to be put in accordingly to the interface language.
If you access the site in German then you have to enter German keywords. I switch to English in order to enter English keywords.

I hope this is the way it's supposed to work.

I've read in the community/forum that people reported images disappearing from their portfolios. One contributor reportedly is missing a few hundred images.

Also I found a bug (site is loaded with bugs - unfortunately) when using Firefox.
My images don't always show up in the search when using Firefox.

When using Firefox and using the same keywords just try hitting "Search" over and over again. Out of 10 times I get 1 or 2 searches without my images. And the overall search results count is also different.

It's not happening in IE at least for me.

I reported this behavior to them and I'm still waiting for a response.

The 11 MB file size limit as they state on their web site is also not valid anymore.
I had that confirmed by support.

It's a lot of work to get off the ground at Panthermedia. I hope it's worth the effort...

Thanks for explaining!

Well to be honest, Im beginning to have second thoughts about this site and Im not too sure we are ever going to get off the ground. Same as you I started to investigate the search-engine and well, to put it mildly Im flabagasted, I couldnt believe it, its the kind of search the old libraries had during the 1980s.  Ofcourse I searched " oil-industry", well, I certainly got oil OK! olive-oil, people filling up gas, mechanic fixing an oil-sump, oh boy.

However this could be the way the German agencies work???  the Zoonar search is equally weird, not so bad but just weird, if you know what I mean.  Ofcourse with these kind of strangenes, Im sorry but I cant see too many sales.

let see what happens.

best.

Be careful, when I was with them, I remember that I could not delete my own photos and it had to be done through a PM admin.

After I became exclusive at iStock, they continued to sell my photos and had never sent me any sales proceeds even though my contract had been cancelled a long time ago. They also ignored my request to stop selling.

As of right now, Panthermedia is ahead of Bigstockphoto in the poll results.

That was the reason for me to sign up with them.

If I get a monthly payout at Bigstock I sure expect one from Panthermedia as well.

I haven't done much research on their search engine but it seems a bit clumsy.

Once I have 1000 images up, I'll see what happens (hopefully).

I think if you do well at BigStock then you will do OK at Panthermedia too.
Deleting your an image is, at least for me, not a problem. There is even an select all button at the top.

because of their boring submission I have like 500 until last month, now have around 750.. planning on uploading a few more.. sales are from travel, landmarks pictures.. but there is a little of everything too.. and some nice sales like 15EUR and such..

let me tell you that number 6th means like 200EUR in a year and half.. but with like 500 for most of the time

OK! but have you yourself tried their search?  I tell you, it gives weird results, it sort of works the old fashioned way.

I have only two or three times and I found mine using the UK/USA keywords, actually I find hard when keywording but I do look around heavily to get them done properly

Panthermedia is not better than Crestock or YayMicro and could not even be mentioned in the same category as Bigstock (not to mention the "other" middle tier agencies). As a matter of fact I suspect that their sales are bumped up by false entries to get them into the middle tier. I am by no means a big seller, in fact quite small, but are doing much better at all those mentioned sites, while having zero sales for the past 3 months with Panther.
Panther should be in its rightful position, below YayMicro. I have stopped uploading to them and yes, if you request removal of your images, they have a number of months (if I remember correctly, the contract states 3), before they will remove them.
Not worth the trouble, even for small fry like me......

Any one else here who can vouch for PM?  ??? Being in the middle tier there should be at least 20 members who should be singing their praises?  ;)

I have the same problem.
09/30/2010 Transfer remuneration Transfer -89,31.
After my first letter, I received answer from support on December 20, 2010.

 Hello Edvard,
thanks for your message.
First I must to apologize - I had forgotten to transfer the amount... and then i was not in the office for some time - because of illness. I am really very sorry.
It is actually inexcusable but I hope for your understanding.
The amount of EUR 89,31 I have transfered now the last week so I hope you will receive it in few days.
Wish you a nice day.
kind regards.
Eugenia Amerchel
PantherMedia

After this answer, I wrote to Panther Media 4 times in this year, but never received answer or money in my bank account. Two days ago I received money-second payment from 31.05.2011 in Firstgate account, but never first payment since 30.09.2010. The amount of 89,31 EUR.

I have raised a support ticket at PM with a link to this thread in the hope they can clarify/rectify/address matters addressed here. Let us hope/see if it can/will be done.

PS: Sorry it is Zoonar with the 3 month deletion policy.

Hi everybody,

thanks for reporting misunderstandings/problems and those supporting PantherMedia. We are paying out contributors via automated standard procedures: PayPal, Click&Buy and direct bank transfer (within EU only). There are very few exceptions to the rule where we cannot payout via these means (Paypal does not let us pay out in some countries, e.g. Ukraine). We are then paying out manually via moneybookers. There may be some delays in that since we have to transfer money from one to the other account before we can pay out.

Anyway, there have not been any payout problems in the past and there will not be any in the future. It is a automated system and works since about 7 years now. Payout is reported on the last working day on the month. We then transfer the money to the individual accounts within 2 weeks, usually faster.

@em76em:
I have checked your payout from last year in our system. It was requested not via click&buy, but via bank transfer. It is in a country that is not supported by our standard bank transfer. However, we have advised the money at that time, but I could see that the BIC Code was not 11 digit as it should be. It may well be that the money was transferred back to our account. We will check it and send the money via another payment channel. Please tell us your clickandbuy or paypal username, so we can send it via these channels. I am sorry for the confusion, but if the bank data is not complete, we cannot handle it properly.

I do not know about the sales statistics of all the other agencies, but I am in touch with many major contributors who I meet on events. They report me that PantherMedia is between 5 and 7 in their rankings. There is no other way to find this out than trying it for yourself. We are more than happy to receive your images. Starting between 750 and 1.000 images, sales will come naturally.

Regarding the translation and search: We are currently working on a new system that will overcome these problems. We will keep you updated via our newsletter on this.

Best regards,

Robert

Yes, BIC/SWIFT Code is 8 digits. For example, I am receiving money from Moneybookers via the same BIC/SWIFT code of 8 digits.
I wrote to Panther Media Support already about such solution in first letter in this year, few months ago, if my bank account is problem for you for transferring money, then I have Firstgate Click&Buy.
Three days ago I received money- second payment from Panther Media in Click&Buy account, so I will send you my Click&Buy username.
Thank you very much in advance.

I registered as a contributor three days ago.  I received this message at the end of the process:

"You have just received a registration confirmation email.
Please click the link in our email to complete your registration."

But the email never came.  I emailed support twice but never received a response.  Has anyone else had these problems?  Thanks

Robert, my only concern is with this statement:
"Starting between 750 and 1.000 images, sales will come naturally. "
I am on 498 images with zero sales in 4 months, so one would at least expect a slow drizzle by now, before a magical "natural" flow will automatically start after the next 252 images, would you not say?

Assuming that you are not sending any hate-mail to them it must be a spam filter or another issue of some sort.

Whenever I contacted them I received an answer within 24 hours.

No idea, what the issue could be. Maybe send the request from a different email address. Maybe they blocked the domain or something...  ???

I sent a message with my Click&Buy username in Panther Media Support and message to Robert, e-mail here, after this answer of Robert.
I am waiting that payout since September last year, the amount of 89,31 Euros.
I hope I will receive that money soon.
Thank you very much in advance Robert.

Sending up another signal flair to Team Panther.   My "complete registration" still does not work.  My emails to support are unanswered.  Attempts to login or chat return me to the same page that says complete registration - an email has been sent.  I never got that email.  The (international) phone number on the web site says contributors should not call....  So..... Are you guys out there?  Hello..... Hello......
