Post by: jsfoto on November 20, 2013, 07:21
I just refreshed my subscription-downloads on Panthermedia and got a white screen with a small word in the upper left corner: fuc.
Nothing to add  ;D

Hi everybody,
this is definitely not triggered by us. We are currently working on our server to see where this is coming from and will eliminate this asap.

Best regards,
Robert

Obviously, because we are paying out hundreds of photographers every month. We are quite strong in the German speaking area, but have distribution partners in other parts of the world. However, with a strong western focus on the images, sales chances are quite high. How many images have you uploaded so far? If you contact me with your username, I can probably give you some tips and tricks to improve sales on our site. Best regards, Robert.

DNS Problem solved. Please notify me directly at [email protected] is this happens again. This was not an attack on panthermedia.net, but a DNS problem that was not within our hands.

Please mind, this issue had nothing to do with panthermedia.net or our team.

Best regards,

Robert

I have no images with you...yet.  I have somewhere in the range of 2800 images, but I'll hold off for now.

Hi,

I had one sale few days ago, EUR 7,02, not so bad, but there is a problem, I deleted all my photos and close my account months ago and I still receive sales reports. Of course I can't acces my account,
I had about 30€ before I close my account and I'm still waiting my money .
Robert before giving some tips and tricks, try to explain and resolve my problem ;) but perhaps best tip you can give is to close account to have better sales ?
I closed my account in march 2013 and it's fully deleted since 18.09.2013 (according to the general terms and conditions, the notice period is up to 6 months)

I recommend holding off for good if we are talking about panthermedia.. I have tried them, uploaded my whole port, stayed until I made a payout, took the money and ran! :D

@vilainecrevette
Please mail me your username at PantherMedia. Generally, after cancellation we take the portfolio off our website and delete it from our distributor network within the cancellation period of 6 months. When our partners or customer pay the sales report, we are notifying our photographers re the sales, even if you cancelled your membership. That's another reason for the cancellation time. You can log in any time until your membership has expired and can request your payout, without a threshold. If you still have money on your account or anything happened with the transfer of money, please contact me or our team at panthermedia.net. We have never held back an amount that we owe our photographers.

@cidepix
If you recommend other photographers to not join panthermedia, you should give the other photographers a chance to understand why and us a chance to respond. Reasons may be very subjective due to portfolio size or content or any other reason that may not apply to everybody else. Thanks.

Robert

I believe Cidepix is free to express his opinion without having to explain himself. And he did explain himself; PM doesnt generate enough sales.

I advice photographers as well not to join PM. You generate no significant number of sales, and your uploading process is extremely tedious, right up there with Alamy. Furthermore, on the poll on the right you are in the bottom tier, low earners. You were middle tier a year ago. This implies that most contributors here have seen a drop in sales. So thats why. Hope that helps.

I have stopped to upload in PM after 600 images… and one sale in 6 months.
These images are selling on most of the other sites of the top and middle tiers.

An advice to Panther Media: sell my images more and I promise that, as good european, I will upload a lot of other good european oriented images.
Good deal, don't you think?

there is a batch process for panthermedia which i think it is easy to submit. Alamy batch process also make it possible to submit as batch..

what is worse than istock?

I didn't intend that when opening that thread ...  it was just funny what I saw today and as Robert explained it was not the responsibiltity of PM. Panthermedia is a low earner for me too, but to add something positive here I want to mention that there are positive surprises at PM sometimes, single downloads of 44 Euro for example ... it's rare but it happens. I thought this should be said to keep the balance.
