Hi all,

I uploaded a few images in panthermedia some time ago and i realise i got an email today that i got some sales.

i have no idea since the contributors interface is not showing related information at all.

i click 'management' and click 'subscription downloads' i saw i have 3 downloads, different dates, yet i saw in my Current remuneration:  EUR 0,56

i click each download said i earn EUR 0,56 but why there is only EUR 0,56 in my account?

may get this thread to discuss what your experience of using it.

i find very complicated and i have hard time just want to see my own image.

When you have a 'normal' sale, you can find it under Management/account overview. This type of sales are directly added to your account.
Sales from subscription are count together at the end of the month and then added to your account. You can not see a specification of each sale apart.
So your total sales from 3 subscription sales are E 0,56.

Woops. 0.186 euro per sub sale? That's 0.25$ at the current rate of 1.3. Do we like 0.25$ sites? I guess I'll call it KittenMedia.

I am not sure, but I thought subs are about E0,35 for normal sizes and websizes are cheaper.
But none the less: you are right about subprices. They call themselves midstock....
Nothing wrong with the prices for other sales btw.

hi colette, thanks for the information, i guess it is 2 subs download for E0.56, the third one is october so it is still under 'pending'.

I think contributors can opt out this subs download.

anyway, i still hope panthermedia do something about the interface, everything is not very user family, just a 'image' tabs, there are image gallery, image overview, image upload/ftp.. blah blah...and the photo community and agency is kind of meaningless too.

You can opt-in or -out for a lot of things when submitting an image.
When images are accepted or in pending, you can also edit an image and change the options.
It can be found under: My images/ Image overview.
Above left you can set the filter for the list of images you want to see.
if you want to change something: scroll down until the image is visible and then scroll to the right.
There's: Edit image. When clicking on it you will get the submission page for that image again.
There's also an option for a note to the editor on this page.
This is sometimes handy when an image is in the red/green list and you think that 's a mistake, or for answering questions from editors.
When your explanation or answer is accepted the images is mostly in the green list within a few days.

I have not found if there is a possibility to change the options for all images at once.
I would like to know if this is possible.
What I also wish to know if it is possible to have a link to my portfolio (for my website).
Sending emails doesn't help: I never get an answer.

Green lights, yellow lights, no lights, pictures that end up in the user group when they weren't sent there and not for sale. Ask them and expect no answer.

You're batting 100%, they don't answer and asking how to link to your port will get you nothing. How's this one from July 2009? Yes, July 2009!

Hello,

@cardmaverick:

We are going to introduce a new upload system soon these coming weeks. More information can be found here:

Save a click it takes you to the front page and nothing about uploads or anything new.

These are usually signs that the agency is dying, understaffed and ready to vanish by the dark of night. :D

You have to be logged in to view the page.

I just wish they would get rid of categories etc. so I could dump my whole portfolio on their site. Currently I have only some images because the uploading procedure is so cumbersome with a lot of clicks.

I am logged in and I see nothing about the new improved user interface that's coming in July of 2009. :)

hi, if you upload with ftp, IPTC data will be read. the category is still okay for me, only 1 is need.

I think they really need to get a person with brain to take a look at the user interface.

the whole image portfolio is a long list that every images got many columns stating some statistics or symbols that not one can understand, and u need to scroll down for for every pictures, in my monitor only 2 or 3 columns are displaced..and many symbols that you need to read explanations below. just give a portfolio view that we see as many images as possible in one page with some basic infos like view and downloads.

and why need so many tabs and sub-tabs, image to upload image/ image upload ftp/ image overview/ image gallery/ blah blah.. those are for machine, humans don't browse like this way.

They did spruce up the site and removed some of the eight different lines to click which all hinted of personal data. It is getting better.

How's this. Someone take a test ride and click on "Contact" it takes you to a screen that says, something about photo buyers click here, contributors click here, and when you do, guess what? It takes you back to the page that says contact and you are now in an endless loop. You can however phone them... :(

I asked to have my account closed months ago and got no response. Now I can't even write and ask them to Please Close My Account and remove all registration data!

Sure glad I paid them to be a member, a few years ago. But I'd really like to just end it all and be cleared from their existence.

Yeah, 2009, that will make you do a double take.  ;D

It seems like a nice place and it has some interesting features, just that they are totally unresponsive and very unusual about some things. Can't say it's just another cookie cutter Microstock site?

the revenue overview shows all the sales, the regular ones that have also a preview of the pic and the subs that usually are like 4 or 5 together
