Seemingly overnight, my rejection rate at PM skyrocketed, and now when I click on the upload/ftp link, it takes me to a page in German, which prevents my processing material that I upload via FTP. Plus, it now takes weeks to get images inspected. Anybody else having the same experience?
-
Even worse. All my approved files are gone. I have 0 of accepted files.
-
ahaha I had 500 uploads almost with that hard submission with ticks and boxs and whatever! now have 168! LOL
-
Hopefully it will change back to normal - i can find my images.
I'd rather kiss Gaddafi than upload all files to Panther again.

Yes, same here. All photos that were accepted with the new interface are gone, the pics I submitted before are still there, though ???
Looks like IS doesn't have the monopoly on f*ck-ups :P
-
My images are back, but acceptance rate is still 0.
But... if I upload series of images that reviewer for some reason doesn't like and rejects it completely and then it takes another xx weeks (soon will be months) until another approving process - acceptance rate is calculated from last three months so.... 0% for few weeks is theoretically not impossible.
Edit: acceptance rate is now ok

Does anyone know how to say "PM SUCKS" in German?
I really don't have a clue on how they made it to the middle tier...
-
Mine are back again, too - maybe they just tested if we'd notice :D
-
I can live with it - bugs appear from time to time.
But their approval times, it's a different story. :-\

Does anyone know how to say "PM SUCKS" in German?
"PM ist beschissen" / "PM ist Scheiße" / "PM kotzt mich an"...
There are certainly a lot more variations... ;D

What Happened at Panther Media? I would say: you can watch (live and in color) an agency committing suicide. It really sucks.

I think those three are sufficient to describe them...thanks for the translation Dirkr ;D

Page 11 is missing from my portfolio. It goes from 10 to 12. I notified them.
I did sell 2 images today. :)

Hi everybody,
I have to admit that I am not used to this kind of language and harsh criticism in english speaking forums?! Criticism is good, but it should follow a certain language, namely rated "U" (suitable for all) than "PG" (parental guidance).
Regarding your problems, would you please be so kind and tell me if the problems still exists and what your usernames are to double check? For bug fixing, this is necessary information to locate the bug. If everything is working now, please also let me know. When introducing a new system in beta status, these kind of bugs sometimes happen for non Fortune 500 companies. It is not very pleasant though, but we are working on delivering a good service.
The review times are getting better, since we employed and trained new staff. We did not anticipate that the upload rate went up 7 times. We calculated with 2-3 times. We are glad though that our new system enabled this upload rate! Thanks very much for uploading!
Best regards,
Robert

When I log on and click on the "Image Upload (FTP/PSM)" Link, it takes me to http://anbieter.panthermedia.net/, (http://anbieter.panthermedia.net/,) and since I don't speak German, I can't navigate the site to process images that were uploaded via FTP. User name: csproductions.
Everything else appears to be functioning normally.
-
Hi csproductions,
at the very bottom of the page, you can see the english flag. Click on it and you are transferred tot he english part of the portal. Alternatively, click on http://contributor.panthermedia.net (http://contributor.panthermedia.net)
Enjoy,
Robert

How long are images taking to get reviewed now as I have started to upload my port there?
-
Hi fotografer,
that is great to hear. Our current review times are about 2 to max. 3 weeks, steadily decreasing. Our goal is to review images in less than 5 working days.
Best regards,
Robert
-
Ok thanks, I'll stop checking every half an hour to see if they are reviewed;)
My idea was to upload 50 images at a time that are selling elsewhere and see how the reviews go. At this rate it will take a few months to get my port on line. I think if the first 50 do ok then I will upload the rest.
I have about 200 images uploaded by ftp ready to finish. Can they stay in the unfinished section for a couple of weeks or will they get deleted if they aren't finished off quickly?
-
Hi fotografer,
they can stay there. But if you have already keyworded them via IPTC, it only takes some minutes to forward them to the editors. It is your choice however. We are looking forward to getting your images.
Best,
Robert

I forgot to add the 8 most relevant keywords while submitting and when i add them now to approved files these are back on the pending queue. Are these files treated differently or might they be rejected? With the high rejection rate lately i don't want to take any chances to the few approved. Any ideas?
-
The review process seems to be quite arbitrary on many sites including here at PM. I find that different photos are rejected or accepted from site to site all the time. Some of my best sellers at one site are rejected at others for quite bizarre reasons. Seems to depend on whether the reviewer is having a bad day or not. For PM to limit the upload rate according to some stupid approval rating from the last submission is just a silly idea that wastes time and is very disrespectful of photographers trying to build a business for both themselves and PM!

the whole POINT of a beta test is that a small group of outsiders test the product BEFORE it's released on its regular audence. too many companies now think that by labeling something as beta they can get away with releasinbg untested programs on the public.
