Sure! I posted my application pictures on my blog - http://untilitclicks.blogspot.com

The last one I submitted was the Ganesha with prayer beads. Since those images are not on iStock yet (I had to re-submit them to include in my portfolio), I just used the thumbs from my CanStockPhoto portfolio.

well done, they look a lot better than that cat food !  ;-)  Maybe it's time I had another try :)

Wouldn't hurt to try! Good luck!

what camera are you shooting with?

For shutterstock, if you have the resolution to do it, try downsizing your images to improve sharpness and decrease noise.

I'm shooting with a Canon Rebel XT - 8MP. I'm assuming that's not enough MP to downsize? Especially considering that the newer cameras are much higher.

no, you don't have much room to play there, but you could downsize to 6mp.  It wouldn't help much, but might a little.
