I am a contributor in Zoonar since 05.07.2011 and until now have no one single sale. I sell in almost all agencies shown on the right, in some of them I sell just 1-2 images per month, but like Zoonar no one...ZERO
When look in "My frequently watched pictures" there are views on many of them, but no sales.

If somebody have experience with this to share

This is my portfolio there:

Thank You
Deyan

I'm sure that many of us have same experience. I had my first sale after 10 months.

I sell a few there and individual sales are often for much higher prices than the average micros.  It can go a few months without sales but then I get a few and it makes up for it.

Hi sharpshot, care to share where are those sales from? 3rd party or directly from zoonar?

They have some of the zaniest reviews...perhaps something lost in translation??? Last year I was averaging about 2 sales per month but since their split w/Pixmac, only one sale. I cancelled my account last week and they appear to be kind enuff to pay out your balance but the photos must remain for 6 months.

Third party, the last few are from DDP IMAGES.

...and you would be correct...pardon my blunder. They used to be w/ "Picturemaxx"(perhaps still are)...very close and I'm mildly dyslexic  :)

I find it very hard to get much accepted on there I have had one sale - for the princley sum of .14 Euros so not all sales are high value!

Hi!

I was there for a few months but then bailed out. What bugs me is the fact, you have technically one of the best sites, interfaces possible, userfriendly in every way and all in all a very professional look.
However, your search-engine, is something from the past, its like ancient history from the film-days, where first pics uploaded will forever remain on the first pages, even if they are no good, etc,  it seems to be first photographer come, first served?, like in the old tranny-files from A-Z. Why is that?

Surely there are enough threads and posts here that will easily tell anybody what photographers think about search-engines. Personally, a bad search, is the one and only thing that would make me leave an agency, absoloutely nothing else. Reason being,  a bad and messed up search and you might as well bang your head against a brick-wall.

No, we put the editors choice in front of the search. But we could make a more frequently update of the "top photos". That`s true. We have a good growing rate, so maby we will spend some more time for that in the near future.

But there is some important thing you all should know:

As an agency who paid up to 80 percent from gross revenue Zoonar don`t can to do all that "time-consuming photo editor things" like other agencies. Our concept is to be a image distributor not an image seller. We paid more percentages but we have to do (and paid) less work for that.
Our own direct sales are not the most important thing for us. Zoonar is a very different concept. We are no microstock agency and we are even no normal photo agency at all.

You`ll need a lot of time to make money with Zoonar. First sales normally comes 6-9 months after uplaoding photos, because your photos must be translated, released to partners and so far before you can earn money...

Michael,

If at all possible, and given all the different groups you work with it may not be, but it would nice to have a better idea what actually sold then this statement.

25.10.2011    * * * Provision via partner agencies (PHOTOLIBRARY) * * *    0,81 EUR

I'm also not understanding the math on this. If Photolibrary is honoring the price range I requested "standard", (they supposedly take all three zoonar ranges) then I should at least get 3 euros minimum, which assumes they first take 40 percent, and you then take 50 percent.

hi michael, i finally got 1 sale from photolibrary... but it seems there is no indication which image is sold.
Possible to do something so we know which is the image being sold?

Photolibrary had a lot of subscription sales.  We wrote this in the terms of trade you agreed before you release your photos to this partner. At Getty Images (photos.com, Jupiterimages, Thinkstock) it will be the same, but with more sales. We cannot book the subscription sales to single photos. So you`ll get a summary payout.
