I think after uploading 21,094 stock photos you should have no problems.

However rather than the old fashioned people on white backgrounds with obvious poses perhaps you should move up to date with realistic looking people doing realistic things.

Seems to be all the rage at the moment the whole fake reality thing.  ;D

And you have far too many similar images.

Some of your model images border on porn and child porn. I hope your female models are of legal age, some look childlike. Jumping goldfish has been replaced by people making hearts with their hands. Ugh.

Some are useable stock, though. I agree, way too many similars.

Look at my portfolio of 21,000 images! It will help raise my rank in most relevant.

Make it more realistic, not just white or black background. You could also try editorials?

Interesting portfolio. Most of the models looked about 26/27, although there were a couple that looked about 21/22.

Looks like you have quite a wide variety of poses, of people doing things in a wide variety of situations. Looks like you have a wide selection of photography, so I think you should be doing well/fine for people looking for asian models.

the girls' age are all above than 20, all of them. Maybe ... asians look younger than they are.

So  you must not know that images with more download and less display in search result will show at the first page. I post my portfolio will not raise anyone's rank.

Trust me. The couple is about 30 years old.

Thank you. I think quantity and quality are both important in stock images produce. But I know there are too many similar images.
I alway want to pick up more and more images from one day's pictures.

Actually - I think the similar images are okay.

Many times people will want that "perfect" pose - and it works much, much better if they have several to chose from.

I have purchased stock, in addition to producing it. Many times - if I see an image/video - I will want that "perfect" pose that fits in with my theme/content. If there are only 1-2 images to chose from, then sometimes I am disappointed. But if the model has 30-40 different poses/hand gestures/etc - then many times I can find that "perfect" image that looks great.

So I think that is fine.

I totally agree.

I have taken some science photos and I tend to vary a lot the background showing blurred equipment and colors. It might be similar but some people would want one or another. I don't see any problem unless it's toooo similar.

There should be a variation between the main topics tho. Just people against black or white background might be seen as limited portfolio

Consider the negative impact on future sales though...

If I have 3 or 4 poses (the most I would ever post of "similar"), then all my sales are concentrated on those 3 or 4.  I have 40, then they are spread over 40.

Assume every photo sells equally (not likely I know, but makes it easier to show the math).  Assume also that I sell 100 images a month from this photo shoot.

If I have 3 images, that means each image sold 33 times, or roughly once per DAY.  If I have 40 images, each images sells a little less than once per MONTH.  Identical revenue the first month, but what about 6 months down the line?

6 months later, you can either have 3 images that sell each and every day, or 40 images that sell once every 5 weeks.  Which do you expect will be higher in the search results after 6 months?

If you have 40 images, they will drop far off the first page.  Yes, since they do occasionally sell, they will still (maybe) be on the first dozen pages or so. If you have 3 and they sell every single day, then they will probably show up on the first page (or close to it) -- meaning you will have far higher sales from this photo shoot over the long haul.

FWIW, I have one of those "sells every single day" images. I had 3 in the original submission. The other two sold once a month or so initially, and now no sales for the past 6 months.  The other continues to sell every single day after 2 years -- it sold 3 times yesterday in fact.

Lifestyle content on real locations with people who are not visibly models.

If you want to expand people on white or in generic locations, go for very large groups 10-30 people, that seems to be missing everywhere.

Also images done with a mix of natural light and flash. Or things that look really natural.

Content for social media streams that will blend in naturally what normal people shoot who are not professional photographers.

Make a (long) list of all the professions of the world...i.e. plumbers, nursing, builders etc...then make huge libraries documenting every step of their daily work. Get real people, real doctors, real hospitals, real chefs, real car mechanics in real locations.

Elder care and people in retirement. Care and nursing home imagery, dealing with dememntia, families struggling to care for families and children...etc...

Your work is far from over ;)

Good luck.

eta: I also find the similars ok, as a buyer for me this is perfect. I hate having just one or two images from a series to chose from, I very much prefer to do my own selection.

Obviously, I dont want to see 200 images from the same shoot, but an intelligent selection of 30 images is great, if they are all nicely done and useful.

You are right about that, but I think it's still better to have 5-10 from the same series to have just 3. More than 15 is just exaggeration or a very hot seller.

yes - I often get a block of downloads of similar; I figure designers DL several images and decide later

the argument of sales dilutions makes many unsupported assumptions - biggest one being sales of 1 image impact another ( so 6 individual sales worse than 6 of 1 image)

I have get 60 downloads from 1 customer several days ago. All the images are about sexy girl (the same model). Boys like sexy girls' photo.
Maybe, they don't want to use them in there project. Their Annual Plans will expiring soon.

6 individual sales compared to 1 image getting 6 sales is worse because the next week your 6 images will be much lower in the search than the 1 image with 6 sales.  You're less likely to sell any of those 6 images again while the 1 image is more likely to sell.

Heres the deal. It matters Not How many you Have. It matters How useful they are. You repeat yourself WAY to Much. the same stuff Over and Over to where it gets very Boring to look t more than 3/4 Pages. Change it up. get a new Model at least. she Is Not that expressive . you seem to get stuck doing the same Over and Over. Im doing stock since 1968. you can do better.

Hi there

In any case I feel that there are some monotones and do think variety is key. Also, maybe a good tip along the way, the world changes with it fashion and design and therefore also Images. Be in the loop on the changes and adapt these on your photos. Hope that helps and maybe try doing something new and creative to pep-up your portfolio? Sometimes putting in too many thoughts and overthinking pulls out the creativity.

Regards
