Old Fart, well excuse me, baby boomer.  Are these selling?  Maybe concept or aging, or. . . . .     and yes, self portrait, cheapest model I can find.

Yes, I think that images of models that are not in their teens or early 20s should sell quite well.

In this particular image, I'm not crazy about the lighting, especially the dark shadow over the right eye and the over-exposure on the right-side of the head.

thanks GP, just a quick and dirty to see what it needs,  I don't shoot models, so the best place I guess is to start with yourself.

I am selling the pics of my neighbors (I am suspecting they are pre-baby boomers) quite well on both fotolia and istock, in fact they are selling better than the really cute teenage baby-sitter - so my advice would be to go ahead and shoot some more.

yeah, i think that type of image can be popular.  both portraits and candid action shots.  Get yourself looking happy on your boat, or something and it will make a good retired image.  I forget which site it was - but they had active seniors as one of the 'shots they wanted'  you might have to make yourself look a little older for the 'senior' category but maybe active baby boomers almost fits into the same catagory.

Fantastic shot! It's the same one you used on my forum! Love it.
Now lets see....If I were a designer what could I use your handsome face for?

Robert, I try not to look mean, but if I smile, I look "evil"

Thanks everyone for the input, I'll keep trying.

Use the burn tool around the wrinkles to enhance the shadows - unfortunately it's easier than you think!  ;D

Definately saleable....

For what it's worth, I don't shoot people for stock, but if I did I think I'd be hunting out interesting faces rather than teens....

Lauren has a good one as the image of the week on istock home page at the mo as well.
