I've recently been submitting to stock sites with some of my images being accepted. I want to submit this image and have a few questions about it. I'm hoping for some experienced input.
When viewed at 100% there is some fringing around the model's neckline. How terrible is this, and what can I do to avoid this kind of thing happening? This image was shot outside at 200 ISO. Here is a link to the full sized image.

Apart from the fringing, you need to clone away the puma on the foot. The ball could also be a problem.
The fringing could be desaturated in photoshop for example or colorcloned.

Purple fringing on this image is pretty obvious, so I think you should remove it. Here is the link. You have 2 methods there. Try both and see which one is better for your image.

Also...puma sign, and logos on the ball should be removed.

I think he's a great model. You could do a lot with him.
Unfortunately his pose looks awkward and uncomfortable. Check out his right arm. A more relaxed and natural pose would be better.
Also, if you are going to get nearly a full length shot it would be better if you hadn't cut off his foot.
Hope that helps :)

Thanks so much! I'm going to take a look at that.

To remove purple fringing, the second method described in one of the SS articles has worked for me:

Focus is soft, whites are blown out, logos on ball and shoe, purple fringing, strange blurriness around top of shirt...

Thanks for the responses! Very helpful tips and advice.
The Gaussian blur trick worked best on this image - however after reading the model and composition advice from lisafx, I've decided to scrap this image and pick another one from the same session - which is crisper and fring free.
... lots to learn.

Blown whites (highligts all are 0 0 0 0 with no details) + yellow cast + all from above posts

Look at the keywords
Homosexual etc ;D

Good start but agree with the above people. I never really noticed that whole purple fringing thing till I started reading about it being a problem. Very interesting. Wonder why cameras have so many screw ups when it comes to taking pictures. Too bad they didn't work like our eyes but better.

If there was a camera that worked as well as our eyes, I know that I couldn't afford it! :D

It's not the camera creating the problem - it's the lens.
Cheap lenses can produce horrible fringing.
Put a decent prime lens on your camera and you have one less problem.
I'm not sure if it has been mentioned but it appears to me that the guy is "falling out of the frame" to the left. I think the horizon is off or he is not standing 100% upright. That might be the reason why lisafx mentioned he looks awkward.
Everything else mentioned above applies as well. Focus/blurriness - it's not sharp. Get a better lens.
