Title: Please Critique my portfolio on Alamy
Post by: Arunabh on October 30, 2015, 13:16
I am new to this Stock Photography business. I had a great dilemma in choosing which Stock Photography websites to contribute to, but after lot of research I selected Alamy. I am pretty happy about how easy it is to upload and keyword and things but what really troubles me is the thought of 'am I good enough for Alamy?' Can somebody with experience in Stock Photography business please critique my small collection of 86 photos on Alamy? Also, please give tips on things I must do to maximize sales, especially on a vast site like Alamy. Till now I have not had any sale on Alamy. Below is the link to My Images on Alamy.

IMHO Alamy seems like a good choice for your travel and editorial work. Good luck!

I agree. I must add Alamy is the most time consuming Site of all.

You need to be very patient with Alamy. I was about eight months and 800 pics before my first sale. Others get lucky with far fewer, others do worse.
Still can't work out any pattern of what sells: it's just what a buyer happened to need at any given time.
Still, nowadays Alamy is your best bet.
