setting price of $10 for HD seems like desperation to me, makes them look cheap.

edit to ad:   It appears you have a decent camera, 10 bucks is just way too low.  I find that with Pond5 it can take a while for sales to start after the videos are uploaded.

You have some good videos there, nicely shot and good quality. You prices however are terrible and you can never make any money if you sell video for $10 a clip. Honestly that could even put some buyers off for being too cheap. My cheapest video is $49 and I will never price below that. Putting your prices up to more realistic pricing should make you more money.

Thank you! Hesitant to raise prices, sold only 10, will try to raise prices. What is the average cost of my work can be exhibited?

If you price at $50 then you will get $25. Your current prices of $10 mean you have to sell five videos just to make $25. To be honest I think that pricing at $50 or more you will get the same amount or even more sales than now, the reason being is that buyers will view your work as professional if it's priced professionally. But at the moment you have giveaway prices, which is a little off putting for some buyers even though your videos are good quality. It means you don't value your work. Take a professional approach to your pricing like you have with producing your video and you can get some decent results in the long run. Persist with giveaway pricing and you will not do very well at all.

Agree with the other comments - I'd say even your less interesting clips should be priced at at least $20-$30, the best ones should be $50-$60 or more.

Also, get on ShutterStock, if you're not already.  They sell HD clips at something like $79, and I have more sales there, although the royalty is a little less.

Thank you) I'm on Shutterstock is, the files are sold at a great price, but rarely) Raise prices on Pond5!

Good videos, but do raise your prices.  I'd do a minimum of 40 for bad or very simple video but closer to 80 for most work.

I'm an experienced stock footage contributor, listen Natalya, after looking at your footage quality the buyer definitely willing and don't mind to purchase your works at price ranges between 60$-100$, trust me.

You have to be patient with Pond5, it takes a long time to start getting sales but then they sell regularly.  I don't think buyers would be put off paying $40 for a clip.

very good work, nice "humaninterest" subjects too, and very nicely done.

While I understand that "price testing" can be intimidating, unless you try the higher price ranges you'll never know if the would have worked as well -- and in your case, Natalya, the definitely would...!

Have to agree with the others here: do raise your prices to significantly higher levels -- if it does not work over an EXTENDED period of time, then you can gradually go lower from there to find out if PRICE is, indeed, problematic there.

Thank you for your appreciation of my work! While the accepted files set a price of 49, for some video work the price 99. New pending video will put a price of 60-100

Also read what some of the buyers have to say about pricing on the P5 forum. Many say they exclude videos under a certain price from their searches because:
1. They assume anything under that price is rubbish
2. When they give their clients a cost breakdown for a project, their clients are not happy when they have used cheap stock.

I hate the Pond interface.  The bottom lightbox keeps popping up.  Movie collections pop up when I move over things, I can't find a way to just see everything.  I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.

From what I could see, though, I thought your collection was kind of scattershot.  Here's some fire, there's some ducks, here's soccer practice, etc.  There doesn't seem to be an in depth look at any of them.  No story.  The style is no lighting - just run and gun.  Maybe I'm not seeing it all right, though.

Trying to be funny, I think. Russian...it looks like when she quotes you (or someone), it changes to Russian, but then her answer is in English. Go figure.
