Title: Recycling images rejected by istock - I am puzzled
Post by: hroe on February 17, 2009, 13:26
Any idea why istock doesn't like recycling images? Anybody knows which company would accept them. They said: bad composition or subject matter is at the minimum level. The point is that you can't find these particular images on their site (I thought they would be of a value for them). I guess I am naive or something!

So, recycling and environment is not a subject to submit?

Beats me. They look like they could be useful as interesting background textures if nothing else.

They look to be good, stock-worthy images to me in what is a notoriously difficult subject to capture. I'd be tempted upload them individually later as you may have had a dodgy review.

I'd also consider a tighter crop as that may make it easier to see the actual subject matter from thumbnail size. I suspect the 2nd image in particular will do quite well if you can get it accepted.
