hermsi:
hello. when i submitted these illustrations for assignments  i got, rejection reasons saying that they are rather simplistic in terms of image complexity, i tried to submit them as commercial images instead free royalty because i didnt realise they suppose tobe submitted as editorial or free images . but i saw simple illustrations aacepted  for assignments.
what should i have done to the images to make sure they were accepted?

Shelma1:
The rejection reason you got was misleading, because your images are actually very simplistic while also being too complex. I would recommend thinking about what it is you're trying to draw. Why would a volcano be crying? Where is the guy in the bottom illustration located and what is he doing, exactly? Why would anyone need either of these images?

Have you taken drawing classes? I'd recommend starting there.

jav:
I would tell you with all due respect that you have to perfect your technique and improve the composition. Look carefully at the work of professional illustrators. With effort and dedication you can achieve a lot. Keep going and good luck!

rinderart:
