I'm amazed by the Dreamtime's payout speed today. It's 6 hours interval between payment request and the money going into paypal. Dreamtime has always been the faster paymaster in microstock.

I think Photodune should be among the slowest one. It takes a month for them to process the payment. And another interval before the money actually going into paypal. A month is a long time in microstock. :)

It's a matter of timing with PhotoDune.  They always pay around the 15th of the month, as does 123RF.  I put in a payment request with PD the moment I reach the minimum, using the option to receive my full balance as of the end of that month.  So it takes two weeks from the end of the month to get paid, and that payment includes everything I've earned the previous month.

I put in my payment requests for sites that don't pay automatically as soon as the month ends, except for BigStock.  They delay the availability of earnings for a week after a sale, so I wait until the whole month's balance is available.  In my experience Dreamstime and CanStock are the fastest to pay, followed by Deposit, then Shutterstock, then iStock, BigStock, PhotoDune and 123RF.

I don't mind Photodune's payment method.  They pay exactly the same time every month - the 15th, as Disorderly said.  Several sites pay only once a month, including Veer, Pixmac (now), 123RF, and Shutterstock.

The trick with PD is you have to request before the end of the month, if you have enough money.  Also, if you are in North America, by the time it's the end of the month here, it's next month in Australia, where they are headquartered.  I always have to remind myself to request two days before the end of the month to be on the safe side.

You can actually request before you have the funds in your account.  I just request on the first of the month, like with all the other sites, then when the end of the month comes around I get paid for the tabulated monthly earnings.

Or to be more clear.  My earnings were just tabulated and move to the 'pending payment' area.  I have $0 in my account.  I can then request payout right now for whatever is in my account at then end of the month.. then I'll get that 15 days after the end of June.

I had no idea we could do that.  Very useful info!  Thanks Tyler :D
