Title: Has anyone received their 1099 from Envanto (Photodune)?
Post by: Mantis on February 21, 2016, 18:41
I sent them a site mail and they said this:

"First off - many apologies in our delay, this is not the norm and we are working on this but understand this is not good enough.

Please bear with me while I enquire with our tax team regarding this."

Sounds like they don't have their internal tax process set up correctly to support their new "market place model".

I am still waiting. Sent that email on the 16th of Feb. Curious if anyone else in the USA has received their 1099.

As I understood it their new system would apply only to 2016.  For 2015, I thought we were on our own for reporting our envato income.

I hope that is right. It would make sense given that I haven't seen any documents.

I had a PM from a member who confirmed it starts this year, so we're safe until this time next year.

Hopefully they will give up their plan to 1099 for money we never received (their commission).  Meanwhile I stopped uploading to Evanto - Photodune.

I asked them about my tax form and this is the answer :
Thank you for your patience while I was working on this for you. I just heard back from the Tax Department and they've informed me that the Tax Forms will be available by the end of January 2017. I hope this helps.

I thinknthey will have to give it up.  Any CPA would tell them this is illegal and will open a huge can of very nasty worms if they try it.  I would not be surprised if they get audited and penalized once the IRS discovers what they're doing.
