Hi everryone, I'm new in Envato. I just want to double confirm Envato is it a royalty free website? And it is accept editorial video o photos?

Yes it is royalty free as to editorial acceptance I don't know

Why not check their site it should tell you

Yes, they're royalty free, but no editorial content. Something to note: while it's royalty free, it's also single use... so buyer's can't buy a license for an image or video and use it in multiple end products. If they have multiple projects then they need multiple licenses.

and of course you can set your own prices but DO NOT sign up to Envato Elements (if they still give you a choice)

Envato Elements you'll get paid peanuts $0.01 or even $0.00 is very common even though they are as picky as hell what they will take quality wise.

This a company that wants the moon on a stick but is not willing to pay for it.

Yes, they want high quality content and they pay between around 35% (non-exclusive) and 50 to 70% (exclusive) on the Marketplaces, and 50% (non-exclusive) on Elements. Crazy cats.

Uploading to Envato with any content (be it photo, video, audio, graphics...) will be a test of your mettle. The reviewers are extremely judgemental and patronising, in a frustratingly subjective way. If the reviewer doesn't like the look of your stuff it's flat rejected - regardless of whether it's 'commercially' appealing. The sales were worth the effort several years ago, not so much today, unfortunately.

BTW their RF licensing is the most convoluted of them all - buyers do not read the small print here!

Let's see what the new CEO has in store - oh, dear - shouldn't have said that!

50% on Elements?? Yeah keep drinking that koolaid $0.00 revenue per image sale is 50% of nothing

$0.01 revenue per image is 50% of $0.02

Intelligence I think you'll find! But yeah, just as low as your Kool Aid comment, but you decided to forgo the wit. Still, you deserved it... providing $0.01 being 50% of $0.02 as some kind of evidence that Elements don't pay out 50%?! Surely you weren't being serious?

If you want to discuss the ups and downs of such a low rate per download, then that's fine... but don't use something that works out to 50% as evidence that its not 50%.

It seems like to get very difficult to find the right website of envato, which has no connections with envato elements.
Yesterday I tried to find the website via the link on the right here in the forum - it leads us directly to envato elements, not to envato itself. After a little bit more time I found the original site. But I guess in the future we will not be able anymore to find the original website to envato itself because envato elements pushes itself in front to envato.
Well, that means at least just another reason not to submit anything to envato itself either,because for sure it will go over into envato elements completly - without any opt out. And all our imates would be lost fast for free.
