Guys, I lost the lens hood for my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens but I see there are few options for lens hoods. Not sure which one to buy.
There's the round big one and the smaller one with tulip shape. Which one do I need and what is the difference between them (except for size :P)

Is the EW-83F Lens Hood for the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L mark I ?
I have the Mark II
Thanks

2nd one.
Thanks, thats the one I lost, but I got confused seeing there's two for the lens. They are expensive, my word. 50 euros for a piece of small plastic.

The first one looks to deep for a 24 mm end of the lens

It's for the version I of the 24-70, where the front lens extends out of the tube (where the hood is attached) when zooming out.

You might be able to get a compatible. The lens hood was always coming off my 100-400 (notorious for it, apparently) then I lost it, and bought a compatible. Not only was it under £10, it has never fallen off in use.

Yeah. I like original stuff but I am also Dutch. So I will get a knockoff this time.

canon lens hoods are overpriced. i buy knock offs and they work perfectly and are inexpensive

I too lost a couple of my lens hoods when I did a massive home remodel last year. Sh!t was everywhere even though I tries to keep my goodies organized. Somehow in all the madness I came up shore with my 24-70 hood and my 17-35 2.8 hood. I bought a knockoff from B&H and it SUCKSSSSSSSSASSSS. Vello I think it is. Very hard to put on and remove then the little plastic clip things deformed and one broke. Ironically I just ordered Nikon hoods from B&H two days ago. While they haven't arrived yet they were expensive, $50 for two and that is WITHOUT TAX and SHIPPING. Still I need them. I shot video last week down at the beach and had a lot of splotchiness on the video. It was from the sun hitting my ND filters & polarizer at such an angle that the video was picking up the mess in the glass you see when you hold them up sideways to the light, little blotches across the glass. It was a moment of necessity for a hood, which I didn't have. Video lost, hoods ordered.
