OUCH! Ideas for temporary solution to hold camera

(1/2) > >>

Hildegarde:
I fell hard down a flight of stairs or weekend. Fortunately nothing broken and rotator cuff ok according to dr.  Feet and leg better but my right arm and shoulder are in excruciating pain.  Cannot hold medium-heavy things. Range of motion not much though slowly improving.

Any ideas how to hold and use camera?  Tripod head with camera too heavy to control now.  Having my husband play assistant would not be fun.

Only need something temporary so do not want to spend a lot of money.  Need to photograph something Monday.

StanRohrer:
A light monopod?

Hildegarde:
Might work if I heal fast and can get one in time.  Any recommendations?

I also have an issue in terms of raising and then lowering my arm as well as holding weight.

ShadySue:
If you have (or can borrow) a lighter weight camera (which would nevertheless do for your project) you could try a gorillapod. Not for a heavy dSLR, though.

Hildegarde:
I actually have a gorillapod somewhere.
My cell phone camera is junk-- never used it.

Subject will be moving and indoors.  One time event I cannot reshoot.
