If anyone is looking for a free alternative to Illustrator, feel free to try inkscape. Inkscape's not as good as Illustrator, but it's free.

I have used inkscape and it is a good program.  I tried illustrator but it was a huge program and took ages to open with my PC, so I prefer inkscape.

I use illustrator, but use the Inkscape's auto trace tool because I like the results better.
