Hi all,

Hopefully somebody may have had some experience with this and can help me.

Usually when editing TIFFs I use bridge with photoshop, and after being finished in Photoshop, Bridge updates to show the changes. For some reason now, it doesn't update the folder contents or image changes, without going out of the folder and in again.

Make sense to anyone? Thanks!

maybe your folder is getting too large for a quick refresh? You can try F5 to force a refresh.

Try going into PS preferences and un-ticking the 'export clipboard' box, then close down and restart CS4 and see if that cures it.

I had a similar problem with both PS and Bridge slowing down when editing, and the same thing you've described, I searched the internet and somewhere found info about setting up PS properly and apparently what I described above sorts most things out. It did for me and I haven't had a problem since.

Unfortunately, it wasn't as simple as the 'export clipboard' as that has always been unchecked.

I also tried to purge the previews cache, where all previews are cached at 100% (must be a fair bit of buildup for some photographers). Anyway, that wasn't successfully completed as it couldn't find the folder to purge. Which made me remember I'd used CleanMyMac, in a rash mood of cleaning up, the other day. This seems to have changed Bridge to stop updating changes.

When using the CleanMyMac, it did find 10gb of Adobe related files to purge. I guess i should have checked what that was. Doh.

The F5 does work fine, but can take a while with a folder of up to 300 TIFF files.
