i thought it would be a fun topic for people to post videos in this thread with music to listen to while we sit and edit our photos :)
So no posting in this thread unless it is video with music that we can listen to.. preferably something you want to share with others. .. perhaps I'll make a playlist and add it to this first post.
so here's my first one..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JghgJToVP00&feature=player_embedded# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JghgJToVP00&feature=player_embedded#)!
and here's a link to the entire playlist with everyone's video attached

I usually like a bit of Nirvana but this is more local and we went to see them this year and they were great. Also a nice bit of time lapse.

Holy cow. I'm an old school guy, but this was definitely not my cup of tea. But, hey, to each his own. I am listening to some Gerald Wilson Orchestra.

Sorry, I'm listening to Michel Thomas' Italian lessons right now.

Great thread! I'm usually watching Netflix during my Photoshop sessions but always wander off and look for good tunes for a break in the monotony. I will be checking back on this thread regularly. Good call with The Kills Luis. I photographed them about 3 weeks ago and thought they were amazing!
I'm posting this video because I really like Cage the Elephant and because I got to photograph this entire show from the stage. It was a private concert for only about 100 lucky radio winners. If you get a chance to see these guys do it!

Well crap, I can't figure out how to get a direct link to the video. Scroll down to the Cage the Elephant if interested. There are lots of other good ones in here too. You can see my bald head bouncin around during Mumford and Sons, Social Distortion and a bunch of others :)

I always listen to music while I edit my images. Lately I only listen to the most recent Dream Theater, A Dramatic Turn Of Events. It rocks!

I often listen to instrumental music for editing, mainly post-rock.
A personal favorite (band and song) is this one:

Thats OK. I wrote and produced the music for hundreds of TV shows and Feature films, Also produced about 40 Jazz and R&B albums and was fortunate to have played drums on 1000's of records from 1954 [Before rock] to around 1985 . Knew Gerald well. This piece was a cut from an album we did of the music for a popular TV show with Leonard Nimoy called "In Search Of." fun times.
Fav current CD is Sting with the London Philharmonic. Quite amazing.

Explosions in the Sky is an incredible band and perfect for Photoshop time. I shot them a couple months ago and they sound even better live. Their CD is all instrumental and I highly recommend it.

It might be a little weird, but I myself listen to a lot of Korean music while I'm working. I've been wanting to learn the language. This one in particular is very pretty and relaxing.

Probably not everyone's cup o tea though XD

I listen to foreign music when I don't want to be too distracted - anything I don't know the words to.
otherwise I don't have a favourite, but I'm loving this thread.
I got noise cancelling headphones for xmas: a must for any photoshopping mum. :)

Drum Solo 1966 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcCmNXxnj7I#)

I loaded iTunes on my computer and listen to instrumental music with headphones so I won't disturb others and ambient noise won't disturb me. 99+ percent of what I listen to are movie scores ... King Arthur, Blade Runner, Lord of the Rings series, Pirates of the Caribbean and so on. Plus a couple of playlists that I put together with individual scores where I didn't want the entire album.
-
Wow Danny. You truly are a multi-talented maestro! That was wonderful! Do you still drum?
-
Cracking stuff Danny! How come Ringo Starr got the Beatles gig if you were available?
-
Thats sick, why didnt you join the likes of Rush or The Who... Keith Moon would have bowed to you. ;)
-
Actually I joined the Box Tops. Once I started touring with the big boys I soon realized how much better the true musicians were. But I had fun!
-
The fact that you don't consider yourself a 'true' musician is just further evidence of your perfectionism. It has served you very well!

Thank you, I wonder about that too...I feel kind of lucky to be able to use both senses in an artful way
I remember now, rinderart, Laurin Rinder, played drums and composed music. He drops in here once in a while. He chats mostly on the Shutterstock board.
