Title: Operation Photo Rescue

I was given a heads up about a volunteer organization called Operation Photo Rescue.

Operation Photo Rescue (OPR) is a volunteer network of professional photojournalists and amateur digital photographers, graphic designers, image restoration artists and others. OPR's mission is to repair photographs damaged by unforeseen circumstances such as house fires and natural disasters at no cost to the people who own them.

What a wonderful site, it's things like this that restore my faith in humanity. I have piles of damaged pics that I'm starting to repair after a small flood and it breaks your heart to lose those precious pictures, it's certainly something special to be helping give memories back to people like this.
