Title: Photoshop for free for life (random draw)

App Sumo is having a give-away of 10 copies of Photoshop (with endless upgrades).  You have to give up your email address but perhaps a worthwhile 'investment' for those who don't have Photoshop already .. especially if you win.

Huh, it gives us an idea of how much our personal information is worth to a company.

I wonder if selling our info will even bring them more $$$.

haha, yeah it does make you wonder - but if they have say a couple million legit email addresses of people who signed up that were interested in photoshop they can make a pretty good return on their investment (10 Photoshop Licenses) by sending one email a week and selling ads in the email to photography companies.  Nothing really Spammy or illegal about that, but quite valuable to them.

I don't know how many ad emails flood the inbox, I just sent my email in for the Photoshop draw today (I don't have previous experience with appsumo).  I have so much spam as it is, another 1 or 2 a week won't be too noticeable :)

Of course you could also set up a new email just for this contest at places like mail.com or use spamgourmet.com

And they want to write to us with offers. Unsubscribe at any time works for me and I have one entry (which makes me wonder if I can enter more than once, I didn't read) But if they sell the list, then I can expect more new emails to be coming in to one of my expendable accounts.

Winning would be nice?  :)
