My Photoshop Elements 2.0 shows pictures with a stronger red tone than when I look at my pictures in Irfanview, windows slideshow and on the microstock agencies. Does anybody know what is wrong with my photoshop?

I have a similar problem with PS and LR with RAW files only. They all have a yellow tint and less red. I created a preset in LR to compensate even though it's not 100% accurate. The joys of RAW.... ;)

My thumbnails in Bridge often have a red cast. Some of them also look washed out but when I open them in PS the colours are okay.
I have always found that, despite its attractions, Abobe software is the least reliable and most memory intensive of all the leading software producers.

Hi,
Most of the problems could also be perception.
For instance. My brother lives with me. Has a computer, also partially into photography, more video. Computer room, both computers next to each other.... and... both give differerent results on same sites viewing, same pictures, same videos.
I tried to even the monitors.... still different results.
I tried to even the used program properties, color settings, color space used..... still different results.
But, we have different brand monitors. My brother AOC.. me having a Dell....
Even with same settings (both in monitor settings and program setting, color space etc...) these two produce different results.
Frankly... sometimes I also wonder... why does a picture looks good on my screen but looks awfull once online'.... ?...
Patrick.
ps : some uniform calibration amongst all monitors would be extremely helpfull.....

Are your images sRGB or Adobe RGB. With some viewers, colours will be much brighter with sRGB.
With thumbnails at the agencies, my experience is that it varies a lot, depending on their conversion routine. All my files for uploading are Adobe RGB, which gives a wider colour space, but I suspect that the thumbnails (and the sales) would be better if I convert to sRGB.
