So what do you think.  is tutz.tv an Ok name.  I used to be using photoshop-tutorial.tv but realized that I would probably run into legal issues sooner or later with having photoshop in the domain name.

So back to the drawing board.  I am leaning towards tutz.tv but still a little uncertain and would like a second opinion.  any feedback would be great.

Would you think Amazon would be a good name for a bookstore? Do you think anybody could remember how Google is being spelled? I don't think the domain name is the critical part of a good website. ::)

But no, I don't like tutz.tv  ;)

because I want to create my own site :)

yeah I agree that the site name doesn't REALLY matter... people find things via google anyhow, or bookmarks if they have been there before and want to go there again.  I am just having problems finding something I really like and feel like it works... hmm... thinking thinking....

Why don't you contact Adobe and ask them? There's lots of websites with photoshop in the name, if Adobe had a problem with it I'm sure they'd have done something about the ones that currently exist, after all you're promoting their product not competing with it. They might say no or want a fee but if you don't ask you'll never know.

Personally I don't care what a site is called it's the content that I'm interested in, but on a basic level I'd say tutz isn't the greatest name you could have come up with, someone might work out it's a play on the word tutorial but tutorial for what.

well they say this on their website
You may not incorporate or include any Adobe trademark in your company name, product or service name, or domain name.
http://www.adobe.com/misc/trade.html

but you are right.. i COULD ask.

not having 'photoshop' in the domain though also allows me to have other types of tutorials on the site.

well... what I thought of is taken. toots.com

phototoots.com might work but there is a photostoots.com already...lol.

domains are so hard now because of people buying and parking ... then waiting to sell.

It just doesn't sound right. For me if that domain came up in a google search I doubt I would go check it. I'll end up going to one that has a better sounding domain name.

LSD72....I know what it's like for someone to purchase and park a domain name. Someone tried to sell me...donnabeeler.com for $99.00. I ended up buying...donnabeeler.net...then about a year later I was offered it at $12.95. I never purchased it so maybe now it's just a $1.99..

I have nothing against the name, but I voted fo the first option because the name didn't say anything to me, until I read the explanation.
