I asked pixmac if this is correct and got in reply

yes, it is legitimate competition organised by Heroturko together with Pixmac. Feel free to take part!

Personally I'm amazed at the logic of teaming up with a pirate site (and asked for them to close my account)??????????  I'm sure every image gotten with the 'free' credits will be straight back onto heroturko to be 'shared'.

I'm sure Pixmac is not involved. They are victims too.

Ouch. If they don't know that Heroturko is a pirate, they don't know their business. The proof is that I could download the full children's collection from Rapidshare last year, by links supplied by them. Of course I deleted it. Nice bunch of heroes Pixmac got mixed up with. Glad I didn't load up to them, since they smelt very fishy from the start with their fancy-fair Ipod sweepstakes.

batman:
thinking laterally, is Pixmac really working with Heroturko ? or is Heroturko
really Pixmac,  and vice versa?   8)
