I upload all my best seller there and have amost no sales ... so I would say no ....
-
usually they reject peoples best sellers :(
-
Yes and no.
There are few photos sales compared to "top 4" so earnings are not high.
But commission is much better and Pond is the ONLY site I consider 'FAIR''. They have my full support.
I believe that once they have a large photo library, comparable to others, they can 'take off'.

Thanks. I uploaded a part of my portfolio some years ago and have had two sales...so I never bothered to upload more.
-
I've uploaded like 100 pics with them and getting some views but no sales yet. Perhaps if you already have a strong footage portfolio there some clients will see some of the images? Anybody can confirm this?
-
Not worth the effort
-
I have about a 1300 images on Ponds. I sell maybe five or six images a year. Maybe someday it will get better. Their upload system is very good and simple. I have maybe 20 clips and sell six-ten clips a year.

I LOVE how you can price your own photos BUT there are very few photo sales there. It's too bad. I really like POND 5 for video though.
-
No sale at all after uploading 100 pictures and some videos
-
I threw most of my photos up there - they are in my "upload when I have a heap of images ready and some time free" category. It is pretty easy to submit once you figure it out (maybe less so if you have a lot of model released images?) in 2016 I made less than 10% of my SS total, in 2017 I made more than 10% of my SS total (SS went down, they went up). The 2018 total was mostly due to a few big sales one month. Without that month it would have been under 10% of SS. For all time they are 1.31% of my stock totals (although I haven't been with them as long as all the sites).
I like that you can set prices and we get 50%. The few times I have messed with their search I was not impressed. They are on the order of CanStockPhoto and BS for me in terms of $ but with less sales and better rpd and better than FP, SF, and GL - an admittedly low bar.
I have one video clip there that never sold, so my videos are probably not helping me in the search.
-
Not really.
-
NO
-
Another NO.
-
It's not worth it for photos or illustrations for me.
-
Got 1 sale in 1 year, worth $3... I have to admit it was a test portfolio, but I wouldn't recommend going further!
-
It's sad, I have been there for 3 months and 500 portfolio pictures and no sales. I'm not a pro photographer but I have sold 50 pictures in another agencies. It's coold that you can price your photos and earn 50% tho. I hope they will focus more on pictures.
-
It's been slow but picking up a bit recently, and shows promise. I've had some big sales, with one about $15 and one over $70, and that's net.
-
Its a waste of time and any way their speciality is video.
The search bar they have doesn't make it obvious they sell images and neither does their customer front end.
-
Pond5 is a fair agency to contributors and also one of the top performers for video. I wish they would take market share from Shutter/Istock as their commissions are much better as well as communication with suppliers. As it is not so much work to submit to them I would definetely do.
Just don't overprice your content unless you make it available only there. Let's see if slowly we can make the 50% agencies raise to the top and the other ones sink to the bottom.
-
What would be the price for a normal photo and a 4K short video, for example? I have seen really high prices there which is kind of weird.
-
NO
-
I sell 20-30 bucks a months of still images at Ponds. That buys almost a tank of gas for me. So yes for me...I am a cheap date.
-
I have around 29,000 photos on pond5 and make $10 to $20 per month from them.

That just tells everything in one sentence – definitely not worth the effort.

Depends what those 29,000 images are of and what their quality is like
-
I will not recommend it. 5 years and not even $100
-
I had some sales at pond5. But it's my lowest microstock seller.
-
I really Loved P5 then they went to sleep. Shame. I got Out.

What are your others, that would be information of how Pond5 ranks.
