After months of uploading, it's finally happened. Ive just made my first video sale on Pond 5. I have heard from others that it can take a long time before you start seeing sales on Pond 5 and that is certainly true. I just hung in there and continued to upload, even though it didn't seem like anything was happening. Though I admit Ive only got a very small video port on there. I did have a few video sales through SS with an even smaller port but P5 seems particularly tough to gain any traction. Hopefully, more will come in the future as I expand my port.

I'm also a newbie video contributor at P5, with about 400 clips now but no sales of any of those so far. You've confirmed what others have said, so I do expect to continue waiting a while longer for that first clip sale. And then I will celebrate too!

Thanks Marthamarks! Oh yes persistance is key. Never give up. Even when it seems like all that effort is in vain, that first sale will come eventually.
I was told a similar thing about Alamy with regards to photo sales. It took months to get my first sale there. And then not too long ago, I made my second sale at Alamy.

I just made my third video sale on P5. Totally out of the blue. And with subject matter that has not sold before (for me at least.) I'm beginning to really like this company.
On the other hand, 0 sales on StoryBlocks so far.
