Tom, I've got thousands of images, with varying numbers and combinations of models and releases, and it took me five minutes to figure out how to do one image to submit. I hesitate to get started on this project.

^ ditto. impossible not to compare with the other agencies whose upload systems allow for quick, batch editing. I like Pond5's royalties and site, but I'm not spending hours uploading. I have a portfolio of close to 10K images.

My excitement was premature. The image template is not working. Its not saving the data I enter. It only remembers the pricing but then ticks all kinds of boxes I dont tick. Also when doing a batch edit, it wont find the template. And data entered on the template disappears upon saving.

So, its not working.

I don't see any need for templates when I can just use the bulk pull-down at the bottom of the page.

You need to set the copyright on the photos, and it loads mine with my full name, but it needs to be name I shoot under, which is different, so I do need a template and a fix

You can put it in metadata before upload

Only thing I ever have to do on Pond is use the pull-down to set the price and use it again to send to curator. About 4-5 clicks and 2 characters to type no matter how large the batch. One of the easiest sites to submit to.

MRs are a bit more fiddly than some sites but I agree not a difficult site to upload to once you work out how to do it.

Thats all fanatastic, but if something is broken, it needs a fix. I will consider your workarounds tho.

I have hard time understanding why people are unhappy with Pond5. To me it's easier to upload than many other site (FT, DT, SS), as it reads everything in your IPTC data, FTP, batch set price, send to curator, done!. As to review time it's not fast, but it's not the slowest of all agencies either, and as sales are usually not instant there, i wouldn't care too much. The thing is they dont have enough employees, and that's why they can afford to pay contributors 50%. I would rather they stay that way. The biggest thing about Pond5 is that they are being a fair agency, the only one that i can see right now. And i am worried that if we complain too much, we could drive them the way other agencies have gone.

Still not fixed. Very poor.

If you click on your username in the top right corner (right after the "Hi") on any page on the site, it will take you right to your portfolio page.

I don't agree at all, Pond 5 is a very easy site to use, I've never encountered a single problem in 5 years.

Add me to the list of very satisfied P5 contributors. Been with 'em for years. Started out with video, added photos as soon as they started accepting 'em. I find the site very easy to navigate, especially compared to other sites like FT, DT, and even SS. Select from the list, choose the action from the pull-down, and boom. Done. I do look forward to using the image template function to make the process even more streamlined, and yes, I could wish for faster review times and more sales, but overall I'm a happy camper.

I was also referring to the buyer side of things. The search results show tiny thumbs, all sorts of GUI stuff cluttered about. The whole place seems like everything was added on and on to.

I have to agree with Sean here, I find the GUI very cluttered. Also, that photo template is still not fixed. How long can such a fix take? I mean, come one, can someone from P5 take a note of this?

My "illustrations" at P5 are classified as "vector illustrations". Is this how it works there?

Seems to be. All my graphics/illustrations, even though they aren't in vector format, are classified that way. Even some photos (background texture type things) are!

Not sure how they are going to sort that out when they finally start accepting EPS vectors

When is P5 start accepting vector eps file???
They offer vector illustration, but most of the time the search end up with photos instead which is very bad for vector contributors. If that the case, maybe vector contributor can list their files in the photo category since everyone is messing with the search.
