Last 30 days I have the worst month on POND 5.
How do You sell videos since April, May?

I just had my second sales there in 5 months with 80 videos. Very hard to make any money unless you have a lot of better than average videos. I will start shooting more soon but it has not produced much for me yet. I think you have to be a well established videographer with a lot of content to make a dent in sales. Do you have a big port Enstoker?

If you are a buyer then I suppose that's good that they are reaching out to you as a non bully agency. Some buyers, like me, only have a need one time and essentially never buy anything again, or very seldom. I like P5 and hope they withstand the headwinds of microstock and come out as a key go to agency for buyers and contributors. The only problem is pricing, it's all over the place. As much as I hate to say it, I think they could be more successful to create pricing categories kind of like Graphic Leftovers, or something along those lines. Makes it easier for buyers. They now may see two videos, one for $25 and a similar one for $250. That can be confusing and discouraging.

Hi, Mantis,

almost 300 videos, 400 photos.
Last year I have had nice regular sales (both vids and pics), this year every month worse.

@ ethan,
I just got the same code offer and new contact but from Poland. Must be some big action around.

Sales building steadily as my portfolio increases at a reasonably fast rate. It helps to find your own niches and make sure what you create is equal to or better than the opposition if possible. I do seem to get spurts of sales followed by a quiet spell. Possibly a big enough portfolio would eliminate this to some extent. You really need 1000+ files to get anywhere near regular sales

I've been here, as many others have, complaining about the exact same thing with this or a different agency. P5 was my best month ever last month. Couldn't be happier. I guess I got your sales this month. It just seems to work that way.

I have less than 200 clips, about 3 sales per month this year.

The main customer base from Pond5 is in the USA. Possibly related, they seem to be usually hit more with the 'summer slowdown' than some other sites.

At the same time, I don't think anyone can really expect consistency in sales there with videos until you have at least 1,000 clips online. And as pkphotos mentioned, consistency in sales is helped a lot if you can find a few niches in the market for yourself.
