I joined Pond5 over 2 weeks ago and have yet to have any files reviewed. I have emailed them  but have had no reply. I know they have just merged and may be a bit busy, but what is the average review time for this site?

I've got an initial batch there and they told me 2 to 3 weeks when I wrote to them.

My bad, you're correct.  It was GL that reviewed my stuff in 4 days.  I still show my images pending at P5.

3-4 weeks it seems. I had to write to support, and got the 2-3 weeks answer, which it was already over. Then they got reviewed within about a week of my email.

I lose track of how long things have been with each batch at Pond5 - it's at least two weeks and often longer.

My last upload October 28 and it's still in pending status today December 2, more than a month. Quite annoying. The same was when I uploaded bunch of Halloween videos more than a month before Halloween and got them submitted after Halloween, which is useless now for another year.

It was mentioned on the pond5 website that the new average wait time is 4-6 weeks.  I also submitted some back in Nov, still waiting to be reviewed.  If you are uploading seasonal stuff, better upload them at least 3 months ahead just to be safe.

Pond5 is one of those sites where you just upload your stuff and forget about it. Keep uploading, don't worry about reviews.
They will get reviewed ... eventually.

Usually takes about a month but I don't pay attention.

Few rejections, good sales. For that, I'll accept a slow review process.

Whoa last time I checked they said 3 weeks. Seems like maybe it's better idea to hire as stock reviewer then a stock photographer.  ;D

Ha ha ...so true...as if they care. Haven't they said they are artist most friendly company? Well, once they ve got 61 mil funding, they don't care much about artist any more.
They used us all nicely for their goals to get rich and live in Brazil on eternal vacation. Expect  worse yet to come dear artists.... 8)

Yeah, problem is they still stick in Top Tier, so they're still tempting to deal with. :)
They got there fast, and I have a feeling they will go even faster back to Low Earners where they got from. ;)

I have been waiting more than 2 months.

Not good for the contributor >>> also not good for the Agency. They couldn't present "new" content to the customers during christmas time. Most of the content have still been waiting for curating?

Exactly.  I could have been more timely but I uploaded about 50 Christmas clips in early November and they are still pending along with another 75.  You are right about pumping in new content.  I suspect there is some goings on we don't know about. It's gone from two weeks, three weeks, a month, six weeks and now two months.

Definitely.  The way the reviews are going they should be just in time for Christmas 2016.

POND 5 Notice -

"Due to upload volume, artists are experiencing unusually long wait times for content approval. Currently our average wait time is over 2 months. We are working on shortening this wait time and we appreciate your patience."

Average wait OVER 2 months!!!! .... why bother uploading.
This ship is definitely sinking.

P5 was a great idea that sadly had such a bad execution.  :-\

I'm not sure if the long review times are just because they have had a lot more uploads, possibly from people quitting exclusivity with istock or if they have cut back on reviewers.  Either way, I think they should of addressed the problem by now.

Hiring a few more reviewers would do.. Unless they know something we don't know:)

They can/should create some short cuts. For example they can let in content from some contributors who has good reputation in terms of quality, or they can create a fast track service for the value creating providers. If I buy business class ticket, the airliner company makes my checkin process faster at the airport. Same logic.

Well one reason might be they don't have money to hire more people and don't pay people who already works for them so ppl quit and the review time is longer and longer = bad situation. Other reason might be they signed contracts with ppl having huge photo databases and they need to process it. (Still in this situation I don't think they would bother reviewing them but I'm not sure how it works.)
Over the past three years pond5 has raising tendency so maybe it's just temporary. Still this temporary is quite long term. I wish they did any kind of statement on the situation because the situation is severe already and deteriorating quickly. :/

Clips from November still pending review. Got few sales already on VB, SS and even FT... while P5 is still pending. Something unpleasant must be going on under the hood.  ???

Two months wait is a real worry...the most annoying thing is you tend to get a lot more clips rejected when you have 200 pending instead of 20 pending.

One current employee said:
"With the large investment and messy structure, it's clear those in charge are only concerned about the next few months- with no long term plan. Everyone is hoping to make a quick buck."

Yes 2 months- they changed that from 3 weeks an hour after I was trying to get some answers  with the live chat.  They kept saying "They are aware of the problem and know it's not really 3 weeks"    I said WOW that is the worst plan they could have.  Does anybody have a Biz Admin degree in the swanky new offices?    Promise faster and deliver slower....   Doesn't matter how much I complain. over 100 clips since early December and not a one reviewed.   So Shutterstock is a better bet? I view this delay as lost revenue and I'm just starting and have a backload of thousands of clips and don't want to waste my time in a stagnant Pond
