I've been uploading there the last week after a break of a year.  Half of them are already reviewed and online despite being told that it would take 2 months.  Makes me wonder if they are reviewing them out of order.

I deleted all my uploads after 2 months of wait. Now knowing the fact that review orders not being followed makes me stay away permanently.

The delays are most likely due to curators' time being used up working on the new subscription program collection. Once that's implemented I wouldn't be surprised to see the review time decrease significantly.

Making money from stock footage requires a heavy investment of time and work - those giving up and throwing in the towel due to a 2 month wait are probably better off doing something else.

By the time the 2+ months gap gets reduced to 2 weeks, the rejection rates will be higher. Already faced enough of unreasonable rejections and being little bit concious about worthiness of upload.

If only "artist friendly company" warned us prior to uploading that waiting time is over 2 months, I would happily applaud what you just wrote here.
BUT they didn't and they didn't even bother to explain why, not to mention to apologize for it publicly. It's been more than 3 months and this ordeal is still on.

I've been waiting for over a month for them to approve my ID. They won't sell anything of mine until then. Very frustrating.

I was warned when I uploaded.  This is what it said
'Due to upload volume, artists are experiencing unusually long wait times for content approval. Currently our average wait time is over 2 months. We are working on shortening this wait time and we appreciate your patience.'

Too late... you already uploaded, wasted your time and therefore were tricked in to over 2 months waiting.
Why not saying this prior to uploading? Would you still upload?  :-\

They must have rectified as I got it prior to uploading and am still getting it if I go to upload more.

KnowYourOnions never lets the facts get in the way of having a dig at Pond5 :)  They probably deserve some of it lately but it does get a bit tiresome when every post is about the same few things.  Lets save some of the negative posts for when they cut our commission, seems to happen whenever a site hits the top tier here.

You are right....the worst might yet to come. We better save the ammunition for it.  8)

They just updated their site to say the wait time is down to three weeks. Let's see if that holds true.

Looks like they have mixed warnings. One page says two months and the upload page says three weeks.

I noticed the same thing - it was two months on the main page but three weeks on the upload page.  It sounds like two months is closer to the mark these days.

For vector it's faster, around 2-3 week ! I have photo pending for more than a month ... I guess video is 2 month ! Why don't they hire us to review pending files ? haha

My upload page still says two months.
If you just click on 'uploads' it says 2 months but if you then click on 'upload new files' it  says 3 weeks.

Plus its seems that the review at P5 is even harsher than reviews at SS and fotolia

Try opening a support ticket.  I waited over a month as well and when I contacted support they replied and approved my id on the same day.
