Hi
I'm a POND5 contributor since june 2015
I have 2300 images online uploaded 2 months ago
but only 7 sales total... that its ridiculous compared to SS or others top agencies
Same pictures, with same metatags, preform very good on other agencies.

is it normal or should I investigate for a bug in my account ?

thanks for support

No bugs. P5 does not do well with images. They are more for video clips. I have about the same number of images and I get about 2 sales per month.

Sales might increase a bit the longer they are there but they aren't completive with the top sites for stills.  I still upload to them because I can set my own price and get 50%, so when they do sell, I get more than with most of the micros.

The problem is, P5 just do not invest in sales, which is totally bizarre imho.  :o

It's just a wrong agency for selling images. Great for videos though.

I think they probably thought that a lot of their video buyers would be interested in stills.  They obviously spent money bringing in the video buyers, as they sell such a lot.  Hopefully they will get more image buyers, if they start using video more, Pond5 is the ideal site to buy both.  I'm sure many of us have bigger video portfolios with Pond5 than the micros because they have 50% commission, easier reviews, our own pricing and lots of buyers.

Nice thoughts...BUT with this slow growth, P5 might reach that in 10 years time.
The trouble is, while we are hoping and preying for that, some other platform might overrun them all together.
Look at VideoBlocks growth in only 1 year. Just Amazing!

Time will tell.

I have to admit that VB has already caught up with P5 on monthly average sales.  I don't see a lot of sales growth on P5 but I do on VB. I have had 10 sales on VB this month and 4 on P5, but overall the two sites average about the same per month looking at the last few months, but that could be because of the ramp up on VB, which took time to sell my first clip.

For you too eh? :)   I am uploading to three main sites 24/7 now, we must remember that lately each site's sales have been going up at down and nothing is guaranteed, this morning and as we start November my P5 views and sales have taken the lead big time, last month it was VB.  That's one thing I am starting to learn, each site has different customers and sales go up and down at each site, for all I know SS could run away with the checkered flag this month.

I have over 5000 images and only some 50 videos on Pond5. Yet the videos earn more than the images do. Pond5 is not very good for stills.  ;)
