My images from 123rf are gone. Just disappeared.

I changed the subject of the thread.

Query it with Pond5. They have no obligation to use or keep any of 123RF's pictures. They might have removed it, or it might be a technical problem. Will not know which, unless you ask.

New one to me, are images on Pond 5 sourced from 123rf reported as sales with 123? Oldhand

Has to be, they are a partner of 123RF. Had quite a large number of my images on Pond5 through 123RF (also did not know). Asked to have them removed + the link when I decided to upload to Pond5 directly.

Many thanks for the info- I'll have a think about that one...
-
They have about 1K of the 1.7K images I have on 123rf. As I haven't uploaded to 123rf in many months, that isn't 'cause they aren't caught up with new uploads. I don't intend to submit to Pond5 directly so I'm OK with the images going this way.
You do have to wonder what was "wrong" with the 700 images they didn't want...

Same here. They had less than a third of my images on 123RF. One of the reasons I decided to upload directly, but sales so far has not justified the effort.

I was checking Pond5 this morning - I was wondering if I should upload there directly instead of just the subset of my 123rf portfolio (I'm no longer uploading to 123rf) - and my images are still listed but if you click on one it says it's no longer available - see examples here (http://www.pond5.com/photo/9681261/fenced-field-on-small-kent-farm.html) and here (http://www.pond5.com/photo/9681276/vivid-pre-sunrise-colors-over-a-new-hampshire-lake-on-a-summer-morning.html).
Did I miss some news on 123rf and Pond 5 breaking up their arrangement?
-
I uploaded most of my images to P5 directly, and when I searched I could no longer find the 123RF stuff that had been there. Considering that w/ the 123RF stuff we might get <<25% of a sale I am much happier to send it there directly. Reviews seem to take a long time, but otherwise it was fairly painless to get my stuff there. This month sales seem to have justified the effort. Hopefully that continues.

Did they answer it?

The way I find my portfolio on partner sites is to pick a few keywords, locate my images in search results and then find the portfolio button from that image.
I received a reply from Pond5 support that their partnership with 123rf has ended now as they've relaunched their web site. I did find 388 of my images (http://www.pond5.com/video-sound-effects-music-after-effects-photos-illustrations-3d-models/1/artist:[email protected]) there under a new name, not the 123rf username which is different from everywhere else - with the Pond5 watermark. I've written back to support to ask them what's up with that.

Thank you Jsnover for hot news. It's curious. I'll be waiting their answer. Also your images are really great. I wish Pond5 makes more effort to promote photos.

It was Pixmac. They will delete them if I upload

Just found this thread. I was searching for one of the images I just uploaded and found 2 copies, one under the name I created, dbvirago and the other was 2@dbvirago. I thought it was some odd piracy scheme until I saw this thread. I have a lot of images under 2@dbvirago, so curios as to what happens with those sales and what should I do about dupes. The old files are priced at about half of what I am pricing now.
-
Pond5 support told me the 2@contributor name was for pixmac; 1@contributor was for the now-ended 123rf. They also told me they would take down the pixmac mirror if I uploaded directly and asked them, so I'd write to support as it sounded from their reply to me as if you had to request it.
-
Forgot about Pixmac. I've had 180 images there for 2 years and sold 6.
Thanks for the info, I'll write to support. I'd rather not make any sales on a new site than spend time not making any sales on an old site

HI everyone,
Yes Pixmac and Pond5 are no longer our API Partners.
Thank you,
Alex.

Just found a ton of my images on Pond5 with a 5@. Not a clue as to which site they came from. Anyone have any ideas?

We currently have these API partners: Depositphotos, Yaymicro, FeaturePics. Sales are reported on those sites.
