I just started uploading there, photos without model release. The first batch took two days.  Just had two accepted from another batch today after 7 days, with the rest still waiting, so probably more than 7 days for them.  Looks like one of those sites where you upload and forget - wait for the e-mail that they have been reviewed.

Nearly 2 weeks on large batch with mix of model released and non model released. But then they did not keep to uploads in just one specific day, they actually reviewed a few day's uploads in one go.

They finally reviewed my first batch of images there (no releases) after they had been in the pending queue for almost two months!  I had almost given up on ever seeing them online at Pond5.  I did send a message to support after about a month, but even though I did get a reply that they would look into it, the images did not appear online until last week.  I mean, come on, almost two months... :o

I see that Pond5 is already "Middle Tier".
Nice.
Ok, but review time for my batch is already unreasonable long  ;D

"Upload and forget"
Really?

Mine were uploaded 2 weeks ago still not reviewed. Also no batch editing feature, so I have 2nd thoughts about uploading there. The site is not really geared towards photography, its all video and audio. Plus its horrible to navigate the site.

It's another one of those sites where you have to learn how they do stuff, which is diff to everyone else.

In the marketing world that is a BIG no-no; customers don't want to have to learn how to use your site. Unless you've got some super awesome way of doing stuff, don't make it different just for the sake of being different.

I'm getting the hang of it, but I've had unfinished xmas files there for over a week that needed more editing, oops. i will call Pond5 my 2013 project.

there is a batch editing feature [up to 400 files at a time] - it's at the bottom of the editing page - you can set a category, and then submit to curator - 2 short steps --MUCH easier than submitting tot FT or DP, eg

until recently [possibly sansdy related], images were taking just a few days.  footage has always taken 2-3 weeks or more whether i submit 2 videos or 20

the more important factor is that they're already doing better for me than gl, dp, yay or any of the other low end sites and are much easier to work with

You cant batch change the copyright name and you cant batch add a release, so its useless. I closed my account because of the lack of views, lack of support, lack of features, lack of everything.

I will make another attempt as soon as they support photographers in a decent way.

sorry, when you said there was "no batch editing feature' i didnt realize you meant they didnt have a batch process that catered to your particular [unmentioned] requirements.    for those who already have copyright, captions and other EXIF/OPTC info , the process is one of the quickest and easiest of any agency.  model releases are always a hassle for any agency.

If you select all the files with the same release, and choose "Attach Release" in the drop down menu at the bottom, you can batch add a release to all those files at once.

you can batch things using the template feature, which I'm getting my head around. Yes, extra work to make a template, but I did a few for different price points. still a few extra clicks but I can't see any pesky categories so that's good. (although there is mention of categories, I haven't seen any, so i shall remain in blissful ignorance so long as the files go through ok)

yes, the template is really nice -- for footage, esp'ly since there's no iptc stuff, i set one up for each shoot i do, then just make minor mods as needed.

i also set up my own default template with my usual settings

I only got errors using the templates since they are for vid and aud only. Even their support said there wasnt a proper photo template. I was told to use a CSV import file, no way. Also tried to create my own template, didnt work. I never saw the batch edit add release option. Anyhoo, port is deleted, better luck next time.

Review time for vectors is great, in one day or less, but, How are sales with vectors? for me zero! have more than 3000 vectors and no sales yet :-(

My last batch is 'pending review' for a pretty long time, some weeks I think.  Don't know if l-o-n-g review times are the norm at Pond5.

Did you ask them if ther could be some technical issue?

the norm seems to be about 3 weeks give or take a few weeks for me for photos. In other words, don't hold your breath.

I will write and ask them.  Actually some of the batches I sent in were reviewed very quickly, within a day or two .. and then a batch got stuck in 'pending review' and is still standing there. Maybe something's wrong!

I got an email from them today stating that they are backed up with a ton of unexpected uploads and are short on inspectors, but they are on it.
