How many videos, and still images if you have them, in your port?

My "2023 Pond5" so far:

- 15 videos sales with an RpD of $3,62 (which is very low)
Video portfolio size is about 3.000

- 1 image sales with an RpD of $2,13
Image portfolio size is about 20.000

Pond5 is really not doing well in 2023 so far

You likely need to grow your port with more video uploads and maybe diversify with clips in categories of higher demand.

My sales have been getting better over past year but only enough to compensate for decrease in SS sales.

Very poor sales for me in January and February. It was much better in previous years. I have over 15k clips online. Something strange is happening.

So Far 2023 is shaping up to be an awful year for me at P5

About a year ago, I used to get a video clip sale about once every 10 days or so. Now I'm lucky to get one sale every 3 months.  :(

P5 is primarily a stock video site, if anyone does sell imagery there pretty sure their revenue is very small in comparison to video.

7% of my P5 revenue comes from photos.
It takes zero effort to upload them with StockSubmitter, so not doing it is a revenue loss.

My P5 Jan + Feb 2023 is 13% better than Jan + Feb 2022

Shutterstock announced their "good news" about finalizing the Pond5 takeover I think around Jan 2023.

And yes - so far - jan/feb were about 60% lower than both previous months & previous years, march about 40%... perhaps the "good news" from shutterstock is they somehow found another way to steal revenue... not sure... but, the timing is interesting.

Also SS sales seemed to do a bit of a noisedive - like they decided all the assets are now only $0.25. So gotten a lot of vid clip 'sales' for $0.25 from SS...

Could of course be other factors, manufactured "world events" the moneylaundering going on for 'savingukraine' campaigns... (Of course, different topic - and any innocent bystander its very sad what is happening on both sides)... Or other things like that. Not sure.

My sales on P5 have been few and far between for a long time now. And if SS is taking over, I could only imagine things will get worse (especially with regards to royalties.) However, around mid January, I received a $46.40 HD video sale via P5. So good things can still happen at least for the time being. Though later down the track, one can only guess at what plans SS have in store for P5.

The first three months of this year are twice as good as in 2022 on Pond5.
But I see a significant drop in SS. First of all because of cheap sales.

Yeah, I used to get excited when receiving pond5 notifications. Now it's several videos for the price of one old video sale

In the first three months, I have better sales on both P5 and SS, but sales at P5 come from buyers that pick several clips from certain collections, guess it's luck more than anything else.

Over on pond5 a producer with over 34 000 clips said he had no sales at all for several weeks. And it was an exclusive port.

But my tiny port with 1000 files had a few sales in Jan and Feb. Nothing in March so far.

Something with their algos must be off.
