So FAA might take it again next year, even if I cancel it early enough. Side add: I could not find, WHEN exactly I have to cancel it, if I do not want them to expire next year. Really tricky they are! And if I ask for that on FAA forum and they can read my critique between the lines, they might close directly my thread and who know what else, because they do not accept any critics.

too much paranoia - first, when you card expires no one can charge to it until you give them the new expiration date.  you can cancel at any time prior to renewal and FAA sends a renewal msg.  finally, if someone should charge after you've told them to stop, just contact the cc company & they'll reverse the charge

also, there's no, indication there's retaliation for criticism of FAA - such comments occur regularly

expire date! Thx for remind me! LOL

And yes, just yesterday I got a similar answer from Abbie (FAA) about 4 ways to cancel. I screenshot it for next year, in case I need it.

Well ,after so many negative reports about difficultness of cancelling membership on FAA, I am not paranoia, but just prepared for it in upfront, to have no big problems later on.

This is my profile there. fineartamerica.com/profiles/1-alexander-sanchez   :)

I've tried a couple. Probably not enough to judge sales effectiveness. All of the extra likes, comments and other stuff and supposed to improve search engine placement and in turn improve sales. I'd prefer to spend time on creating new work and let SEO do its thing.

From my own experience, I know FAA is not instant money.

Just looked at my sales in August, all of the sales are from images 8-10 years ago.

I don't participate in FB, Instagram, or Twitter. I don't spam my family and friends with my images. Occasionally I share a link or two, solely because I thought they might be interested in the image.

Very rarely my friends bought my images, maybe 3-4 times in the past 10 years.

Actually I just took a look at my Alamy sales. In terms of money, my August FAA revenue is far more than what I have received from Alamy from January to August.

Just thought these info might be helpful so you can decide if FAA is for you.

Good points, my main difference is, I direct sales to the site, when someone wants to buy a print. Buyers can decide, and I don't have to do anything. By the way, I haven't had a color printer since about 2014. I do have a color laser, but that's no good for prints. I just go to the store, and now, I can use FAA and they charge the fee, without taking commission.

Repeating, contests have no effect on sales, that I've seen. And I agree, I don't spam or promote on social media. Apparently some people do make more by promoting their work that way.

I'm going to go against my normal view and ask for votes. I see that if I get 20 (or is it 25?) I can get a free T-Shirt. Like I need a T-Shirt? I get them from work, a few a year, and some from the race track itself? But I have one I'd like and free is always interesting. So...

PLEASE VOTE FOR My stairway image? It had 3 votes, without this terrible begging and pandering, but if I get enough, I can get my black and white artistic Stonehenge shirt from my own image that I converted into an altered graphic. (nothing special except to me)
