Title: Artflakes?
Post by: trofia on September 27, 2014, 07:49
Ciao,

I have about 1200 images on FAA. The site worked okay in the last year, but recently I have noticed less sales and views.

Looking for another POD to sell my art.

I have started with Artflakes and now have about 50 images online.
Care to share your experience with them? Any sale?

Ciao!

For me, FAA is dead. I stopped uploading my work there and my account will go dead in a month when they try to renew using my closed credit card . You are right. In the last couple of years sales were decent, then something happened and I haven't sold a single image in a year. I'm done getting ripped off by their "fees" when they don't re-invest in the search. The owner knows how we feel and does nothing about it. I, along with a few others have emailed him personally and, for me, I have never received a response. The owner is on a "new path" trying to sell stock images now, completely ignoring the FAA site. Make your won decision but unless you are getting enough sales to make back your annual fee and then some, FAA is not worth my time.

One sale on Artflakes for 20 euros in 6 months, 275 pics uploaded. Better than other sites!

As their upload system does not read IPTC data it is a pain to upload to Artflake.

FAA doing fine for me. I have about 1500 landscapes up with them and regularly sell $500+ a month from maybe 7-10 sales. Do some research and see what sells on there by using their best sellers information. A year ago I was close to stopping there and then it just picked and has been going well ever since, more sales you have it appears the more sales you get!

agree, landscapes are the big sellers on FAA...but I am not a landscapist, I like to upload what I like: urban, street and miscellaneous...just a few landscapes. FAA was working fine, at least 2 sales a month, but lately long no sales periods and a few views...
I will increase my port on Artflakes and see what happens...
Other Artflakes experiences welcomed here!
