Title: Bayphoto or WhiteWall
Post by: c2.beverly on July 12, 2016, 20:20
Anyone have any experience with Bayphoto or Whitewall?  I'm trying to decide between the two.

I used WhiteWall and got samples of all print materials. I have not gotten a sample of canvas and didn't buy canvas. Not happy with their prints. Excellent customer service. I will not buy from them again. I once read a review where it was mentioned that the prints from FFA  are of much better quality but more expensive.

I've ordered metal prints from Bay Photo several times and they were beautiful. Sold a few to a local hospital as well as at gallery shows. Customers loved them. Haven't tried their other products but I saw samples at PhotoExpo and they looked excellent. Good customer service too. Haven't tried White Wall.

I've ordered framed prints on Somerset paper and metal prints from FAA and they are beautiful too. Cards and pillows nice too. Their customer service has ranged from excellent to poor.

I often use Millers for prints, albums, canvas and metal prints and all were beautiful. Clients loved them all. Terrific customer service. They do black and white prints on real photo paper and I've had galleries ask me if I was shooting film. Top quality.

Been using Bay Photo for a few years. They're great.

Fast processing, fast shipping, reliable, and good quality products. Plus they offer large and custom sizes.

They also offer a drop shipping option that doesn't include any mention of Bay or pricing.

Another thing I like is no minimum order. Want to drop ship a 4x6? No problem. Some of the other labs have $20 or more minimum orders. I sell a lot big prints but also a lot of 8x12s.

Support has been great. Anything damaged during shipping they've immediately replaced and handled the issue with the carrier behind the scenes.

I've tried a few other labs with mixed results. One lab "overlooked" my order and after probably a week I called and they gave me a "so what oh well" attitude. Never used them again.

We use WHCC for the bulk of our prints, they've taken great care of us over the years. They stopped charging us for shipping a few years ago and we ship everything over sea, this is a huge expense. We also use Bay Photo for odd sizes, or certain products WHCC doesn't have. Both great companies. Bay Photo kills us on shipping though.

We agree and bayphoto charges us overseas rate in Alaska and I've checked with Whitewall and they won't.
