Anyone selling on microsites like shutterstock and others might want to read the contract very, very closely. This is part of the reason some of the biggest named photograhers are leaving shutterstock and other place.

Once SS forces everyone onto BS (and it will happen),  anyone who's been marketing their images on Zazzle will then find that BS offers the same image, and pays you even less on a sale.  You'll be undercutting yourself, and have no choice in the matter.  Sweet indeed.

There's still an opt out with BS, so we can still avoid having our images on Zazzle.  If SS started forcing people to use BS and removed the opt out, they would be going down the istock path.  I don't think they're that stupid and wont waste time worrying about it.

I had good Zazzle sales in May and June, but July has been really slow. I wonder if it is related to the BS deal.

What an optimist you are!   I expect it within a year, to the tune of "we are excited to announce" and "you'll make it up on volume".

SS is an expanding, newly public company with an inflated stock price.  That means that before long there will be a bunch of new execs with big stock options that are underwater.  For those guys, it's all about pumping the stock - by cutting costs and tapping any and all possible sources of new revenue.
