I tried to create a book with blurb.. it seems quite interesting. But it seems you need to order your book before it become on sale in their store.

what is your experience with blurb?

Not one is using blurb? It seems a good place to create your own coffee table book..

I haven't heard of it, but I'm interested to check it out.

one can import pictures from flickr..and smugsmug also?

I just tried it out..and if you want to make your book available through their online store, your book had to be bought first..by yourself, or your friends?

I've used blurb - made fine art portfolio book for an artist. Never offered them for sale and only ordered them in batches myself, for the artist. Does about as good a job as any of these services, though I used Indesign and not their software.

Good to know. I've read that blurb does provide exceptional quality.
If that's not the case then why spend the extra $$$ ?

Which other companies do you recommend?
