I don't understand what you mean by - The business get the same and the money must be divide for more people?

The site offers fair quality work at fair prices for all.

I'm not competing with the masses on microstock sites for a few cents.

I also get commission work that comes in.

I have good artwork that sells itself. If people like my work they'll buy it.
I'm yet to see someone who dose my style and I will have a massive amount of images by the end of the year. So this will give me more exposure as well.

So I'm not worried about sharing basically.

Some sites (such as istock) have problems with images that are clearly auto-traced (particularly if they have not been cleaned up a lot and stripped of excessive nodes). You might want to keep that in mind if you ever plan to apply there.

I was referring my experience with clipartof. 95% of my work is auto-traced.
You just need to adjust it for less nodes and you can always use "simplify" as well.

The folks at clipartof.com are at the top of my list for many reasons. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and have a great customer base - plus they know how to sell.

The OP is simply trying to get some referal earnings. That's not to say that anything he says is untrue, but I'm (very) sure Clipartof get more than enough new images through word of mouth. They already have a very substantial backlog of excellent images waiting to be keyworded and put up on the site and I'm sure this que would have only increased with or without the OPs help.
I thought that Jamie always did the keywording, which is really as it should be, avoiding spamming from the outset and giving all the artists a chance to compete on a level playing field.
The images on CAO seem to rank really well on Google image searches too, so this may also be something to do with the way Jamie does the keywording and SEO's the images appropriately.

This may be, but I'm still waiting for a reply to an email I sent three days ago.

Ask Jamie herself. She wanted artists.

Just a quick note to anyone who signed up.
It takes a very short while for Google to pickup on the added images,
Once this happens you should expect sales.

How long does it currently take to review pictures? I uploaded some earlier last week and they are not yet reviewed. But I don't want to be impatient... They are probably drowned in submissions...

It won't be long. I know she has already loading some of the dozen or so that came from this forum.
Nothing wrong with being impatient, just shows yo're keen. Drop Jamie an email, she'll tell you how things are flowing. ;D

Hopefully the referral fees make up for the loss of income when the number of new competitor files spreads sales out a bit more than they probably are now. ;)

As I've said earlier. It's a young site, not a huge business. Things take time.

Jamie's great to work with!  We worked together at another agency for about a year, and she definitely knew her stuff.  Great to see she's doing well.
