Title: Keywords
Post by: Clivia on January 30, 2011, 13:06
When I go back to edit my products in Zazzle I find that they keywords all have a plus sign between then, as though they are one big phrase. It takes me ages to edit them all to remove the pluses. Does anyone know why this happens, and if it affects searches?

the "+" is for combined keywords, e.g. rio+de+janeiro. If you enter "rio de janeiro", it is transformed to rio+de+janeiro.  I suppose searches ignore the individual keywords, so someone looking for "janeiro" will not find those with rio+de+haneiro, but I can not tell for sure. Why this happened to you, I do not know.

Remember that they suggest to use a minimum number of keywords and the five more important first.

I have gone back to re-order my keyword so that the first 5 are the most relevant. And when I check back they have all been automatically re-aranged? does anyone know how to get your keywords to stay in order?

Are you sure you saved after editing? I don't remember having this problem with keywords in Zazzle.
