I hope not, I've been planning to upload there. That would be stupid if they did that, but these places seem to not care.

I think it is, it seems so! You can reach 10% with their promotion tools and such things, which is mainly good for them...
I am done with CP!

Is it true that now they are paying 2% of a sale if the product is sold "wholesale" (e-commerce)?

I am not going to even read any more threads about Cafe Press or Zazzle.   IMHO they're a total waste of time.

not that it changes anything but if you do the following (below) you will keep the awesome 10%, just did it (now I will add it to my calendar so I don't forget)

Have you logged in to CafePress in the last three months?
Have you uploaded at least one design in the last three months?
Have you gained a follower on CafePress.com in the last three months?
Have you followed another designer on CafePress.com in the last three months?
Is your designer profile at least 80 percent complete?

Eeem, 2-10% for authorial work? Really? This is some gloomy joke, right?
All this "login and click on... follow, followers, ..." is some children's play? As I don't believe grown pros play that way  ::)

Thanks guys for all info here. I was thinking about start uploading to CP and try it. Ohhh, that would be big WOT, I would not forgive myself that mistake!

Good to have you all here AGAIN :)

I just deleted all my designs from Cafepress after one miserly $25 payment threshold was passed. At Zazzle I make $100+ every month and can set my percentage as I please. Cafepress are too greedy to support.

You can't compare a company that sells products (Cafepress) and one which licenses photos (DPC). However what they both have in common is that they are as bad as each other in exploiting contributors for their own profit. Neither should be supported.

Thanks for the image, Borg.
That's exploitation.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

What percentage of the final price is reasonable on a tee shirt or mug sale ? What percentage of the final sale price do you get if someone buys your image at Shutterstock and prints it on a mug or tee shirt for sale ?

Really?

I have a new follower in the last 3 months, uploaded new designs in the last 3 months, made a sale in the last three months, followed another designer in the last three months,  and logged in in the last three months. but my profile was only 60% (I had filled out all the fields except the social media links) - I've now added a pinterest link which brings it up to 80% and we'll see

Sales = 158.42
Earnings = 8.31

5.2%

I've not found any of the POD sites to be even remotely worth spending time on if you are a photographer - i've just not gotten round to writing all that down
